AT013X - Nikola Gala Remix / Christian Cambas Forgotten Dub

Audio Therapy is very proud to present to you Wooden Swordz a new offering from Stel and production partner Viton who have cleverly used samples from esteemed Greek rock band Xylina Spathia. The track has been given the remix treatment from some of the hottest names of the moment Kosmas Epsilon, Nikola Gala, Christian Cambas, Jose Zamora and Dousk.

The track originated on cd format out of Greece during the summer through Planetworks and with the huge selection of remixes has found favour with those lucky enough to stumble across it and has featured in many of Sasha's sets in Ibiza, etc as well as the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Gabriel & Dresden and Markus Schulz. Consequently the hype has been building on the track with numerous plays on guest radio mixes adding to the increasing awareness of the track and resulting in a multitude of licensing offers and now we have the pleasure of releasing it on Audio Therapy.

All names involved in the project have shot to the forefront over the past year with releases on labels like Bedrock, SAW, Intrinsic, Deep and Swift and have all had support from the likes of John Digweed, James Holden, Mathew Dekay, Zabiela, Kleinenberg and Hernan Cattaneo to name but a few.

Anyway we are tremendously honoured to be able to release such a quality release and hope that you agree with us. So if you are supporting this track with plays or charting it we really would like to know, even if it doesn't float your boat we still like to hear your opinion so please e-mail me at the address above.

Next up is Phil K & Habersham with the stunning Cloudbrake which features a storming remix from Lexicon Avenue which is already starting to get a lot of attention.

I ordered this on CD from Planetworks in Greece a looong time ago and it has to be the best overall cd/remix release to date. So many goord versions. Great job Dave in getting this a vinyl release.

Fantastic tune...love the Kosmas and Cambas remixes...the guitar sounds a bit similar to Andain's Beautiful things, don't you think?

christian cambas / nicola gala IS ON THE MAIL Ill get the other one too but i dont have the money now...

the forgoten dub mix is the best in my opinion. but i like them all.

btw. has anyone heard the original remake from viton & stel? just curius because even tho it was their first release and the track sounded kinda amateur the bassline was so great thet it was huge here in greece.

do you run the label??

anyway the christian cambas / nicola gala , is your generic prog house track, very nice build to it. I havnt had a chance to play it in a set, but it sounds prouduced really well. Much better then the kosmas remix, which i think is crap. The kosmas remix seems to lose the progressive edge the other mixes have. great track viton

7/10 overall

audiotherapist: i ordered my copy at www.deejay.de about 2 weeks ago and didn't get it by now :/

by the way they also don't have panopticon - revealing the door!
maybe you can talk to them

Posted by audiotherapist on Feb-19-2005 17:38:

hi there - just checked and pretty much everything apart from Panopticon seems to be there

yeah I run the label with Dave so let me know if anyone else has problems

all the mixes of wooden swordz are up on EDM now as well as Phil K & Habersham's Cloudbrake with the storming Lexicon Avenue remix and all the mixes of Panopticon - we will add all new releases up there from now on and back catalogue releases over the next few weeks
