Who else wants that Paul Oakenfold releases a trance artist album?

Is there such a possibility at all? Would like to hear some trance productions by Oakie..

Posted by DJ_Hailstone on Jan-25-2005 16:38:

Isnt he going to release an artist album this year?
But dunno if it will be trance album...

Posted by Party Monster on Jan-25-2005 17:30:

I doubt he does much of the production that he credits himself for anyways, so no.

Well you're evidently an idiot, as does anyone who thinks big DJs have some sort of conspiracy going where other people make their music for them.

Oakenfold rocks.

whatever style he does..

Either that or you're just ignorant, but I'm sure you'd prefer the former for the explanation.

Oakenfold doesn't do anything, he ges Andy Grey and Steve Osbourne to do it
something which they're entirely happy with by all accounts

lol so who's the idiot??

I think the answer's obvious

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Jan-25-2005 19:30:

Riiight. Before you commit slander, do you actually know what goes on in Oakenfold's studio, or are you just repeating what you've heard from some other idiot on a forum somewhere? Because, unless you do, you're breaking the law and are an idiot to boot.

Posted by ambrus07 on Jan-25-2005 19:41:

hmm

nobody knows what actually goes on in Oakenfold's office except the insiders and you and I are not they. However you made a highly ignorant blanket statement, as it is common knowledge who does Oakenfold's work. The man spends too much time promoting, recruiting and doing gigs to produce much anymore.

ergo

think before you generalize
because you know way less than you think you do.

But, of course, you're not one of those 'forum idiots,' and you know exactly what goes on and that everything is on the up-and-up.

I'm sure.

Apparently you've never heard anything about the disputes between Mr. Sam & Fred Baker?

yawn... not another bash oakey back and forth thread....

to answer the person who posted this...yes, i would!

I've heard of the Mr. Sam and Fred Baker dispute and that is a completely different situation than Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sasha or whatever DJ someone says doesn't do shit in the studio. Oakenfold, Tiesto, and Sasha all give credit to the people that help them produce their tracks, and I have more faith in the liner notes of their releases than speculation on an internet forum by people who know nothing of what goes on inside the studio unless it comes straight from the producers themselves. So until Charlie May, Junkie XL, Cor Fijneman, Steve Osbourne, and Andy Grey come forward and say that the those guys didn't contribute at all, I am going to trust the writing credits.

Oh yeah, I would rather not see an Oakenfold artist album because I don't like his productions, but another mix compilation would be nice to make up for The Club soundtrack.

I'd say that's well put lad!

i'm pretty sure that the new artist album will be much in the same style as the last one. oakenfold has said that he is saving the trancish tunes for the remixes of the album...so probably a lot like last time...

Posted by ambrus07 on Jan-25-2005 20:28:

"last time" meaning Bunkka??

i cringe at the thought.
oakenfold sold his soul to the american market. on that release anyway.

clarification:

I'm a huge fan of Oakey. just not of bunkka and anything that sounds like it.

well i'm just saying...you can expect something similar to that....and then a lot of trance remixes of these new songs...

System J
slander? find a court in the EU that could try me and win
not that this is even slander, as thats spoken word, this is libel, and seeing as nothing came of it when BT said it in international magazines, I think saying Andy Grey and Steve Osbourne do all oakenfolds stuff on some gimpy forum full of idiots who don't matter might be ok

how do we get so off topic?
