Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(Movie)

I have been eagerly waiting for news and information about this movie I first heard about it last year. Heres the scope...

Plot

Charlie Bucket comes from a poor family, and spends most of his time dreaming about the chocolate that he loves but usually can't afford. Things change when Willy Wonka, head of the very popular Wonka Chocolate empire, announces a contest in which five gold tickets have been hidden in chocolate bars and sent throughout the country. The kids who find the tickets will be taken on a tour of Wonka's chocolate factory and get a special glimpse of the wonders within. Charlie miraculously finds a ticket, along with four other children much naughtier than him. The tour of the factory will hold more than a few surprises for this bunch...

yeah.. i wanna see this.. been a johnny depp whore since nightmare on elm street & 21 jumpstreet. by far the coolest fuck in cinema. majority of the roles he takes are good except a few ie. astronaut's wife.. wtf was up with that ? lol.. anyway, Burton is directing too so should be interesting.. but we all know what happened the last time Burton did a remake of a classic... marky mark anyone ? planet of the apes...that shit was garbage...

I dont think burton was given full creative control over it. It didnt even seem like a burton film... It didnt have anything really surreal in it at all...

then he shouldnt have done it in the first place... its all good, big fish was decent.. that was his bounce back movie. looking forward to this as well.

that would be after the insanely popular Pirates of the Carribean, his most successful film which also scored him an oscar nom.
