Steak or Pork Chops??

Beef or pork?

Posted by ShadoWolf on Jan-25-2005 22:10:

Roast beef.

esp. when I get mayo on that

I usually like laying all that out on a couple of nice hard buns, which I love eating too.

toss some salad on top of that and voila

Vietnamese grilled pork chops are the shit. Steak is good, but it's gets really boring half way.

Nothing better than a big juicy Black Angus sirloin steak!

Posted by VERTiG0 on Jan-25-2005 22:12:

I'll take a 1kg top sirloin steak please. No, I'm not fat.

Posted by j_spot on Jan-25-2005 22:12:

I hate pork chops, but love most other forms of pork(ham steaks, bacon etc)

then theres the whole "Im from Alberta" Alberta AAA top sirloin for me thank you very much. 12 oz of it, in my sepcial marinade (soy, worchestershire, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, ginger) then covered in Montreal Steak spice and cooked to just past rare(rare to med-rare)

must be done on a BBQ, gas or briquette no matter. None of this pan fry, oven or george foreman BS!

You know I just realized that a very similar poll's been done before. I think by rabbitjoker. Or maybe that was the jerky poll? Dahh. Oh well, carry on.

Posted by rabbitjoker on Jan-25-2005 22:31:

They are not even in the same class.

Beef is red meat.

Pork is the new white meat.

----

They shouldn't be compared, so I vote both (why choose?).

You cant beat a good t-bone on the barbie.

But lastnight i tried something different for dinner. I grilled up a thick juicy boneless porkchop, tossed it on a kaiser with tzazhiki sauce, peppers, lettuce and a caesar salad on the side.....god damn it was tasty.

Dinner tonight for me unfortunately was toonie tuesday at KFC (Kyfe Fried Chicken). Busy at work, and wasnt prepared this morning. If i WAS at home, im thinkin it wouldve been a teriyaki beef stir-fry served with rice and a cold refreshing Stella to wash it down.

beef all the way... I dont dig the swine that much, but a porkchop once in a while is tasty.

BBQ's back home were the greatest... so much meat, so much beer...

Jeff, you come up with the best stuff to eat. Always original. Gah! That sounds so good and I don't usually eat porkchops!

Posted by b4k-oz on Jan-26-2005 00:55:

rabbitjoker's hit the nail on the head.....both are different and worth the try.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm my first choice is very rare roast beef. It's the best....and much easier to digest if you have to eat red meat.
Other favs....organic grain fed London Broil or Charcoal BBQ T-Bone steak....also very rare.

Tho I'd have to agree Vietnamese Pork Chops is pretty awesome with broken rice and lemon salad.

Yum....all this food talk is dangerous on the scale. Bon Appetite guys

Posted by DigiNut on Jan-26-2005 01:00:

Spit roast.
