anyone here liked sky capt and the world of tomorrow?

just saw it the first time on dvd yesterday. great movie. beautiful and different even though it is rated PG

it was OKAY. nothing great. actually it was kind of lame.

I thought it was great. Really appreciated the whole flavour of the movie. Too bad the experimentation with presentation wasn't well received at the box office

I had a prestreet copy from work last week (I work @ Blockbuster) but I never got around to watching it...

watched AvP instead... and it was the worst movie I've seen it my life.

Visually it was pretty cool
had great potential, it was something different
but script wise it just didnt cut it.

worst acting till this day.

The acting was meant to be that way. They were recreating the pulp sci-fi era, including the acting style of that time period and the scripts.

The whole concept of the movie would have failed if the acting didn't fit in like that.
