Lightbulb Official TOTA Fashion Thread!

Alrighty, let's talk about recent fashion and all the gear you love and hate. All genres are valid and no matter if it's male or female.

Posted by AwakenedAddict on Jan-27-2005 12:32:

If there is anything I love to hate... it's Von Dutch hats. They are so brutal!

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-27-2005 14:21:

Oh...finally a PROPA thread ...althought last time I made such a thread I got critisized by pretty much everyone

Don't wear sox with sandalds people!

I think you're talking about the parka jackets They're good...warm!

I've got my very snazzy fancy new black coat to keep me warm mmmmmmmm...cost tons of $$$$ but I couldn't help it...love it!

Posted by big_charm on Jan-27-2005 15:31:

I too hate the Von Dutch gear...
Some clothing that really caught my eye early last year was Karv...a brand new line out of Canada. It's similar to Energie with more of a simpler look. I almost bought their whole summer + winter line (long sleeve shirts)..except for the coat..it had a furry neck

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-27-2005 15:37:

Hmkay here's some fur for StereoPrincess

But if it was up to me...I'd be walking like this on the streets of TO...now that's fur....PIMP!

I haven't seen a pair yet alone tried one on in my size. They don't make them in fat-ass apperently.

Sure they do...although you're not a fatass so I don't know where you're getting that...and I would have to agree that Diesel for men has the absolutely perfect cut/fit.

34 Waist 32 Length for me fits better than a glove LOVE IT!

In case anyone is interested both TNT BLU and Over the Rainbow in Yorkville are having huge sales on heir jeans now...I got my lateest pair of Diesel jeans for 50% off hurry while they last.

You are hardly a fat-ass, c'mon now!

For jeans: I just bought a pair of "Edwin" jeans, i'm enjoying them very much

For sure...I got killed in the summer time when i started a thread about it lol

Posted by j_spot on Jan-27-2005 15:54:

designer clothes make me feel fat because I always have to go up a size or two to get them to fit
ie Im a M or L shirt. Diesel button up shirt, had to go XL. Same with a Gas shirt.
im a 32-33 waist, and then I try on parasuco, didnt fit into 34. dkny I do fit into 34

I also hate how im becoming a lable whore

Haha, just go to sample-sales and buy what's cheap/looks good. Then you can still be a whore but on the cheap!

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-27-2005 16:01:

I'm just a fashion whore plain and simple...

By the way regarding your size issue...it's true...I can't fit into anything GAS at all so I just stopped trying. European lables are usually made for Europeans and I can see why after visiting Holland. Eveyone's tall and skinny.

And speaking fo another WICKED jeans label - G-STAR rrrrrrr sexy It's Dutch

www.gstar.nl

I have a few shirts, jeans and a winter jacket from them

I saw a sweet pair of Burberry jeans the other day, was going to go and buy them but instead invested in a new door for my banged up car.

Over the Christmas break my dad got me a sweet pair of black Versace pants and a nice Versace wool sweater.

Ive been eyeing some of Roberto Cavalli's new stuff, and have been dieing for a Jack Daniel by Malo sweater... but serious lack of funds are getting in the way of that.

Cheers to a shallow life, one day I will be able to live in its excess!!!

5'10" 28x32 pwns you!

Posted by Ub3rBreaker on Jan-27-2005 16:31:

Dunno

old navy for me haha Got some jeans for 12 dollars... cant beat that, and they look alright

I try to get the bargains, i never go for the brand names. The only thing i dont mind paying a lil extra is for those sneakers. Gotta love the sneakers!

Posted by AwakenedAddict on Jan-27-2005 16:38:

I typically hate Old Navy (it's a zoo, ffs) but my friend dragged me in because he was looking for a gift for his neice. I broke down and bought a pair of cords (which I'm wearing right now ), I think they were $17.

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-27-2005 16:40:

k la...I think a door for your car is a good investement I'm sure you can get the jeans some other time

Posted by Chris Allen on Jan-27-2005 16:57:

I am really hating the trend of Uggs appearing yet again like it's new. In London, they're all the new rage, yet they've been old and overdone for a long time.

My general style;

Nice button-up shirt (Club Monoco style, designer of course)
Nice fitted, bootcut jeans (I love the new DKNY and of course GStar, mentioned earlier)

I also like my LV wallet, belt, keychain set

I'm looking towards more european clothing lately. Liking it a lot

OH, and I'm loving the new Parasuco line.
