OT: Hard Drive Failure. LOST FILES!
Heya peoples,
Ive just had a crappy experience. My hard drive crapped itself & I lost a heap of music files. Luckily, most of my recent stuff has been saved onto my external harddrive so the loss isnt that great. But i have lost about 5 songs that I produced. I couldnt tell you how many wave files I had saved for the productions; a hundred or so. On a positive note; the songs that I lost were old & I had grown detached from them, not liking them much anymore. I did them on the ole Acid Pro. All the songs I produce now are mixed using Sonar, which is heaps better. Saving them onto the external is great for mobility for when I take my stuff over to my brothers house for review & reworking.
Anyways, it was only the day before my harddrived died that I had installed my new DVD Burner that my girlfriend had bought me for Xmas. The plan was to Burn all my Project folders/files on DVDs as backups. So much for that plan!!!! I guess this is a warning to those that haven't backed up their files. Dont put your trust into your harddrive because it may one day die in the ass! Always backup your stuff!!
R.I.P. to these songs:

-Hudson
-Spinning Atoms
-Gee Wizz
