Final Scratch 1.0 vs. 1.5

I recently perchased FS 1.0 on ebay (It should be arriving Monday according to UPS)

I was told that FS 1.0 runs straight off the cd *Like Knoppix-->A Linux DISTRO that runs straight off CD*

Is this true?

I am calling on all FS owners and people who have expierence with FS 1.0 and above (except FS2)

Should I but 70$ Upgrade to FS 1.5????

Or should I just run 1.0?

(something about runnin software straight off a cd really scares me)

you can make your pc a dual boot and use the hdd instead of the cd. As for upgrading to 1.5, i wouldn't do that. IMO fs 1.0 by N2It worked fine until stanton switched to native instruments for software, then it went to hell. Just keep 1.0.

I would wait and see how it acts on your system. If 1.0 works in your setup then I would leave it, otherwise you may want to think about the upgrade (maybe just to 1.1 if you can).
