Ableton Live
OK, does this belong in here or DJ Booth??
Anyway - does anyone have any experiences with using Live v3.0 or v4.0. I want to start getting into it, but would like to know a little about how people have found it, it's limitations, it's strengths, etc etc.
It seems like it will be really addictive...
its to fuckin complicated
i treid it out and was

i'm using Ableton since dec last year and i totally forgot about Cubase.not only that can be used for dj'ing or live performances but it's a great sequencer for a studio aswell.the fx are great and theres no need for buying extra plugins since you have all you need in 1 prog + they are not "eating" your CPU.you can apply your fx or plugins to your hardware live + the interface it's more than friendly and easy to use.as an old cubase user i recomend Ableton
You can see some cool video clips on their website.
ABLETON WHO???
I've heard ABLETON 4 is okay...a bit complex...
And certainly not as intuitive as could be.
Maybe wait until April and check this bad boy out!
press release for upcoming Project5 II (now supports LIVE PERFORMANCE!!)
used it for the first time today and it was easy to get he basics i.e. drag and rop loops and the marker thing was wacking up basic live funky stuff in no time catn wait to get stuck into the deep stuff
i've watched the videos and i want to learn it all the more now! there are some amazing midi tricks you can do. I could do with having a midi controller though, and lots of free time
I had 4 and sold it on eBay, LOL...didn't have a use for it. yes, it's complicated but you get the hang of it quick. I had fun with it, but oh well, didn't suit my needs...just wanted to try it.

what is synapse orion? i thought it was a synth?!
I guy I know sold my a copy of it for only $99 !!! Live rocks, especially when is sooo cheap
my new style is now 70's funky happy trance hard bosh riddims...
i love ableton
seems like alot of people really dig this prog... cant wait to have some time to explore in it!
i just recently got really into this program and would like to one day eventually make the full conversion to Live from Cubase (although i wouldn't have a problem using both as much as possible). Live isn't really that hard to use... obviously it sort of does things a little differently, all sequencers do, but it only took me 2 or 3 days to figure out how to do everything i needed to do. i would definitely like to talk to more people that use it!
wow....so i'm not the only one that want to switch from cubase to ableton.
i'm trying to see how deep into the program i can get and how user friendly it is to do the things i want to do. if i don't make the full switch, i'll probably just rewire it to cubase. either way, Live is definitely staying in my repitoire.
