what the fk is wrong with this 12"....

to all who got southern sun 12" on perfecto (tiesto \ g&d \ readysteadygo)

am i hearing right or the tiesto remix just finished with fade out ?????

Yeah, it fades out. I think there's an another release with the proper version of it.

you mean the double 12" promos ??

oh man thats really makes me mad mixing it for the first time, and suddenly the tune just...fading out!

I'm not really sure as I don't own any version of it, I'm just going by what I've heard.

double 12" pack as the full length version for some gay reason original release fades

How it is with the maverick Southern Sun/Ready Steady Go remixes double 12" pack?

If they ever pressed a 45rpm of the full unreleased Tiesto remix, I would pay its weight in gold.

I'm pretty sure the 2x12" (which I own) has the full track, though the pressing is a somewhat shoddy 33 for all tracks.

you got the wrong version man.

I believe the one you want is on Maverick records. Im not positive, ill have to double check once i get home from work.

One version fades out, the other is the full version that allows u to mix out.

Perfecto: fades out
Maverick: Entire length

I was really pissed when I got this a long time ago, but shit I never play it, so...

so wait a second...the double promo on perfecto is fading out or not?
also, the maverick release is shit since the tiesto remix in on the damn B2....

What difference does it make if the tracks are pressed to be played at 33rpm vs. 45rpm?

Sound quality is better with 45 thats the difference

I don't think there's necessarily a difference, but 33rpm is normally used if the tracks are too long to be played at 45rpm (in this case, there's two tracks per side) and once they pass a certain overall length the grooves are cut narrower when pressing... which lessens the volume/sound quality

the pressing on the maverick release is awful, i have to put the gain up to just under max to get it at a decent volume

Jep. I've got the 2x12 release on Maverick, and the sound quality is just poor! Tiesto rmx got a very low volume level.

Perfecto CD promo does not fade out- have just checked this so i am certain.
Im pretty sure the promo double pack 12 doesnt either- but dont quote me on this as it is buried in the attic somewhere and i cant be bothered to check.

all cd releases of ss have the full tiesto mix.

i got the 2x12" on maverick and its the full version... but... as already stated, its fuggin 33rpm and its a bit quiet. i hate having to use the gain on the mixer, it still never sounds punchy enough, it just sounds like amplified weakness. i don't know why they would press it like this, i don't think anyone bought the damn doublepack for any of the other mixes. might as well squeeze 3 x 33rpm mixes on one side and the tiesto 45rpm on its own side.

anti-33rpm alliance, anyone ?

my perfecto double pack promo thyngymabob is the full track....it's not a patch on his unreleased 'beta' version though.

i thought the unreleased version just had one or two different lines in the song? it isnt actually any different music wise? like on 'in search of sunrise 3'.

It's about a woman contemplating suicide over lost love. However Oakenfold wanted commercial success with the tune, and decided the lyrics were too depressing for the general public, so fluffed them up to these:

...essentially destroying all the soul & meaning behind the song. Saying that though I prefer the way they sound on the released version, they seem to fit better (the way they're sung, I mean, not the story behind them). Don't think there's any other music change though
