Blank & Jones 2/12 Godskitchen...

I'll be headed down to Vision to check out B & J on the 12th, but will most likely be going by myself as most of my friends up here at school are holding out for G & D on the 26th and don't want to make the 3 & a half hour drive with me to see quote "A couple of DJ's I've never heard of before..."

...



... so I'm just wondering who is all planning on heading down. if there will be a meetup of some sort and so on...

Hope to see as many of you as possible on the 12th, if not the next time I will make it to the Windy City will be for G&D on the 26th.

I will be going, unless I am way too tired to go out again after 5 hours of Deep Dish the night before. Should be a large crowd for this one. I will likely be by the booth the whole night with 2 bottles of Miller or that horrible Michelob Ultra if they have it, since they're $1.75 less.

as long as it doesn't snow, i'll be driving down from milwaukee, by myself.

unless i decide to see Deep Dish instead.

Deep Dish for sure!

I say go Deep Dish as well, I'll be there for sure, Im not really into Blank and Jones. Im sure a ton of other TA's will be there!

Obviously there's huge differences between DD and B&J's styles, but for those who do like both, but can't go both nights, keep in mind Deep Dish is going to have residency at Soundbar. They will be back again very soon while B&J wont. I haven't seen either before, so I'm really looking forward to both nights. Heard some great recent live sets from each.

Officially got Sunday off of work for both B & J and G & D, so tally up one more confirmed central Wisco TA hanging out near the DJ booth for both of those... For B&J I'm headed down by myself, but man is there ever a NE/Central Wisco crowd coming down for G&D on the 26th...

I may be getting to old. The 2.5 - 3 hour drive back to madison early morning is tough 2 weekends in a row. I hope to be at both tho

Yeah I usually either:

A. Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn if money allows ($99.00 a night, 2 blocks from Vision)

or

B. Try to find a friend in Madison or Milwaukee who won't mind me strolling up into their placeat 7:30 in the morning to crash for a bit.

4 and a half hours drive all the way back to point is AWFUL following a night of solid dancing...

I am going to be rolling in from Detroit (or vicinity) with like 50 folks for the Deep Dish show...

Many of them are heading back on Saturday but there should still be around 20+ folks going to this show!

It would be great to meet some TA's while I am in town....

ur friends are idiots if theyve never heard of B&J and rather see G&D over them.

ima head up too tomorrow. i'll too be rite next to the dj booth, prolly where i was for ferry, to the left if ur lookin straight at the booth. i hope i have enuff $$ what with the rising price of drinks @ vision, they GOUGE you!!

Wow, you seem very accepting of other people's opinions and/or experience in electronic music.

I'd rather see G&D over Blank & Jones any day of the week. Granted I have been a bit critical of them in the past, but at least Dave & Josh's sets are innovative and creative.

i say that cuz i didnt really feel their set when i saw them last year, and imho i think B&J are better.

Grrrr. I missed the set!

I had been in Essen, Germany the whole previous week and could only return on Sat due to airport closure times. I never really got over my jet lag and slept 5hrs tops the whole week. Though I took plenty of cat naps on the plane, when 9:30PM rolled around the bottom fell out of me and I had to sleep. No way am I letting them ship me off to Europe the week before G&D!

Did anyone go see B&J? How was it? I sooo wanted to see them.
