yeah the speed would probably be out a bit...but it should work if you can maybe bring it down to half speed....hmmm...but Physically it should work right?

hmm... i dont know anywhere near my place that has a escalator...and i dont have a slinky...i kinda lost it LOL

It's definetly been tried before ( http://www.20six.co.uk/erudite_babo...ry/uy0wqr7qpr2t )...from the accounts I've read they say the steps of an escalator don't work well with the slinky...it goes down a couple and then stops.

You would have to shorten the length of the steps (like make them narrower...)

And I think speed up how fast the escalator goes.

or solder two slinkys together to make it bigger... or just try to make one with a larger widtth on the base.

yeah you need a really big slinky
went and tried it about a year ago, didn't work
got it to go down like 2 steps once, but that was it
still wanna try it sometime though if i can find an oversized slinky
