Help me decide on a new home: Osaka or tokyo: advice, going out and lifestyle
I am going to teach english in Japan in august and soon I will have to confirm which city i want to work in. I was pretty set on working on Osaka untill today.
I spoke with this girl who lives there ( she is from japan not a worker etc..) and she told me there is not much in the way of an electronic music scene there.
So this has me wondering about the whole situation.
Anyone know much about the scene in Japan? I know Yoji biomanika is from there along with satashi tomii but i am not sure which city etc...
She was quite young and really into pop music so perhaps she would not know but.....perhaps she is right as well.
So any help would be appreciated I am starting to think perhaps tokyo would be a wiser idea.
well really any advice on the differences or postives and negatives about each would be appreciated as well

i always thought that Osaka was the Electronic Music centre of Japan .. guess not ..
don't forget Ken Ishii !
btw. tw1tch is gonna be in Tokyo in a few days .. maybe ask him
It's bloody expensive here in Tokyo. A beer was $10!!
Chris Liebing is in town this weekend at WOMB, again, it's like $50/cover though.
Other then that, I'm a newb so far, only been here a day.
I will be making pretty good money so.... i am not really concerned with costs. Do me a favor and ask around about the scene in Osaka. It would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm here for work, and the people I'm working with I doubt know anything, hell they can hardly speak english.
I found out that info just from the internet, there's a couple good sites with the nightlife review of Tokyo and so on. I found them last night through Google.

awesome stuff!!!
I'd love to visit Japan someday....

hummm... i am currently studying in Osaka and I have not been clubbing but from what i hear Osaka or Japan in general is a psy/goa trance scene, not to much into the progressive or trance genres.
but if you want to see history and stuff, osaka is the place to be. It is an interesting city.
oh on friday we have James Holden coming to town in osaka.
Hehe you only picked the #1 and #2 most expensive cities in the world to call your new home
Wickid...I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to visit Japan
watch lost in translation!

<---that's the website i was discussin' yesterday!
yeah this is totally the 2nd MOST expensive city - if you can try to move to the left a little to Korea, teach English and have them pay your WAY!
I plan on going again i think with two gurls - but they need to finish skool first! COffe TIME!
ciao bella's!
<--to all the men that think they are ladies!
hey Kev - u defitily need to go to a karaoke room and a resturant that is similar to a korean bbq house (they have them there too!)
