logical as they seem, they give your opposition twice the things to counter in order to have the upper hand

Actually, it does make sense.

Doing things that are 'against the rules' are still against the rules, whether or not you were under the influence of a substance or not. You can't write it off because I/he was drunk.

Perhaps theft was not the best analogy, but my point was clear.

ive been off and on the forums ever since last semester. I havent really had a chance to go and read all threads in the past week that ive missed..
