-- Question of dust
Question of dust
Hey everyone...
I am just wondering what people do if anything about dust getting onto your equipment? I mean i know turntables come with dust covers (some dont )
but as for things like mixers...etc does anyone do anything such as wrap a sheet over the top or something?
Also if enough dust landed on a mixer would it cause it a heap of damage in the faders...etc?
I have just been thinking this due to the somewhat newness of my mixer and the amount of filthy dust around my house.
Cheers
i used the bubble wrap i got wiv my decks to make a dust cover, everytime im not using them i just throw this big sheet of bubble wrap over them, it keeps them relatively dust free
i have a relatively new mixer, and i drape a pillow cover over it when its not in use
razzi.
I just clean it every day
When i've used it I clean them with a hankee or something and put my headphones in the bag that came with it, ...
I pretty much dust everything daily or every other day. And I give my records a rubdown every time I throw one on the decks.
You know how old men are always walking around with Handkerchiefs in their pockets? Just waiting for the instant one might be needed?
That's me but with Swiffer sheets!

I dust my gear every couple of days. I also like to clean and lube my faders on a regular basis. I smoke alot so I have to live with the dust.
