Lucid as usual being useful 
Summerdance was the free, all ages once-a-week dance fest that had dj's such as derrick carter, bad boy bill, farley jackmaster funk, dj collete, dj heather, and finally frankie knuckles. It happened right on Michigan avenue in the heart of chicago..Anyways, it was a fucking incredible time, and hopefully it welt well enough last year to occur again this year.

i hope there is.. made my weeks fly.. summerdance has gone on for yrs IIRC. it was just last yr when they added DJs to the line-up..
maybe they can do something if they decide to build that concert venue where meigs field used to be
I know the group of individuals who organized this event during summerfest. Basically, they said it was a huge success and they are going to do it again. Aside from all the fights and drugs, there is not much anyone can do to control a crowd like that. Nevertheless, they feel that it is worth a repeat.
-there might be more dj's and more styles of music. Possibly trance and more techno. Thats what i have heard, but nothing is for sure. I'll keep you guys posted.

I'm a little bitter about Paul Johnson right now tho. He was a no-show at Party In The Park and when we finally got a hold of him days later he made up a lot of bullshit excuses.
paul johnson is SICK. he would be GREAT to see at the event. He actually attended a few of the last ones.
I heard the lineup has changed but not confirmed.

I missed all the previous ones, but I'm going to check it out tonight after work. Mazi can be pretty good. Will be nice to hear it outside. (Which I assume it is).
Well that was pretty cool last night. I was impressed with the turnout. By the time Superpitcher came, the park was packed. Chicago needs more stuff like this 
Can't beat the price either.
What a night. Got ticketed by cops in the park. Got jumped, punched and kicked in the head on the way out of SummerDance. Ended up at Mamby's. Surprised I made it through in one piece, although my mouth is all swollen up. My camera got busted up, as soon as I get the pictures out of it - I'll post them.
