James Holden at Zouk
James holden is coming to Zouk, Kl on the 8th of Febuary. I love the guys work , and the Balance cds were my bible at one point. However this is the first time i'll be seeing holden live. CAn anyone who has ssen him, gimme th lowdon on what to expect. Will it be different from his style? I know djs who have a diff style when mixing at a gig which is different from their mix cds or productions.
This is going to be uniqe Holden`s style, don`t expect anything different.

Yeah his track selection is quite different from his production style..good nonetheless. Expect nothing, that way itll be good even if its shit

I agree, go in to it as you should anything with no expectations. A good DJ's set will be unexpected and that is what holden did when I saw him and it rocked! It's going to be a fine day!

Saw him and AMAZING is the word I could come up with. Had a fking nice experience from the gig.

He was awesome when he played down here. Mainly techy stuff rather than progressive, but still with a very unique Holden sound. Review here if anyone's interested:

can't remember how long the show was, but it rocked, when he dropped nathan fake - the sky was pink, i almost cried, heh. Wasn't that packed cos it was CNY eve and due to the fact that most people over here have never heard of him, just enough people with out being crowded. It was one of those nights when u just tune everything out and concentrate on the music. Those of us that were there , really enjoyed it. None of the usual club nonsens, drunk girls, scamming, and shit goin on, you were therer for the music, and if you didn't like the music , you left,....... but nobody did, :P
Sorry you won't be here for WOW on the 5th , steve, that shibby is gonna be great, its a rave so they'll be goin strong till 6-7 in the morning, heh. Plus cos its up in the hilss, the weather will be comfy as hell, no hot summer night. Woo Hoo can't wait!! Looking forward to seein Futureshock as well,

). Wasnt packed over here in SG either, but definitely good crowd. So much nicer to dance on the dance floor compared to 'big' nights like Armin's which is so mega-packed.
