Tomcraft-Loneliness (Gyrus Hardtrance Remix)
Hey guys,
Seeing as the first place I ever heard this tune was from this site, I just thought I'd share the remix I just finished of it. It stays very true to the original, using the original acapella and I replayed the massive riff. I hope you guys like it, any feedback appreciated.

pretty good remix, nice sounds, vocals are well placed, and the synth work is nice.
What i can complain on is the fact that the drums are too "breaked"in the main parts -> the track doesnt have a really driving part if you know what i mean. Also some little variations on the melodies would have been great
cool start!! really liked it
bass line got to much resonance i think
the dist on the vocal is not very good
overall pretty good remix
kinda boring after a while
nothing is changing..
very nice ...
I love this Orginal & Now i Like This Rmx
Good Job !

i like it.. the mix sounds good to me
cheers guys.
the main emphasis in my remix is placed on the driving bassline and the riff, I distorted the vocal to make it dirty at parts, it really cuts through the mix. I don't really agree with you on the res of the bassline, it's meant to be a waamp waamp scott project driving type sound. I know many of you on this board won't really be into the harder sound but thank you for listening and commenting
it sounds nice and dirty & i like that...the intro is great...
good remix...

yes, dirty indeed.
very nice, i love the original mix but this one is awesome! Thanks..
no no, thank you guys
if anyone wants a higher bitrate mp3 to play out just send me a PM and I'll shoot one your way......
OOOO I liiiike!!! Sooo dirty and driving ...
you cud do sum filthy dancing in a club next to someone wiv this - it's sexy!
Nice one Gyrus...
cheers for that
can't believe how far you guys have made this tune climb up the soundclick charts
powerfull sound m8! i'm not so much into hardtrance lateley, but that sounds really nice! cool breakbeat, and man, that is what call a fat synth!! don't like the bass, you should have tried the wellknown "hennes & cold - first step" bass, i think that would fit kinda good! good job!
quality stuff dude

Aww glad it's moving up - thanks 4 introducin me to soundclick too - not been on these boards 4 ages well impressed with all of the productions I've d/l - esp. yrs Gyrus!
hehe
soundclick is good, it's a great way of publicising yourself. Best of all, it's free. Dunno where else I can host all of my tracks!
How did you start producing tracks, gyrus? Where wud you suggest a beginner start?
I started with reason, fiddled with that for a good 6 months. I couldnt quite get the raw sounds I was after so I hunted down a copy of cubase and set out to learn it. Haven't looked back since. Still think reason is a top programmer, but the sequencer in cubase is light years ahead of the one in reason.
Definitely recommend starting out using reason or fruityloops, a lot of people use FL in their productions (not me). It's better than reason in the respect that you can use VSTs, other than that I dont really rate it.

tru dat by saying I dont rate it, was simply meaning I dont really like using it. The prog itself is a great sequencer, heaps of producers use it, just not my cup o tea, but thats not the case for everyone. I'll say my favourite one liner again
"It ain't what cha got it's how ya use it

i really like this, very driving but it feels like its building up to nothing really. Really like that beat toward the end, really pumping.
I would kill for that vocal.
i like what you did with the vocal, the breakbeat kicks ass too
a real hands-up theme, top production... Perhaps add high notes to the main melody (chord). This production reminds me of the productions made by Solid Solution (like Sweet Dreams).
I got the vocal from www.acapella-heaven.tk in the downloads section, if it aint there anymore pm me and I'll see if I ca track it down for you.....
cheers for that guys, i did the raised octave thing in the second little breakdown thingy, its very subtle but its there, thanks for the listens guys
PS, dickie, ust had a listen to your simulated remix

good stuff.... although some of the synths sound weak and plastic for hard trance... try some distortions... the bass on the beginning has too many highs! lowpass filter it... I don't think resonance is the problem here. If you need a driving bassline, add a distortion before the filter so it's rough. A bassline can't have too many highs or else the high hats are drowned out and the highs from the bass synth can interfere with the lead's highs and comb filtering occurs. Not only that it's freaking annoying!
the breakdown is massive dude... too bad it doesn't turn into an amazing beat in when the beat comes in... the build builds no tension... try a very tense build drop the beat for 2 bars and bring the beat back in... it's a common hard dance trick but works at a club everytime.
The structure of the track isn't all that hot either. I dono if you're tring to avoid the breakdown-buildup formula, but this isn't progressive house, it's a hard trance anthem for goodness sake (and by anthem I mean literally, you're remixing a pop song dude... why not use a proper club anthem structure?).. You'll definately drive a club crazy, if it were structured like an anthem.
This track has A TON of potential, but every chance it gets to use it, this track fails to comply.
