Hello friends on the other side of the pond....

I will be coming to England (Nottingham) for 2 weeks starting tomorrow (Saturday) for work. I am excited to come and visit, but sad that I will be away from my turntables for so long

I hope to meet some of you, and maybe someone in the area will be nice enought to let me come over and spin some records :P
I also hope to hit the clubs, so if anyone can handle me tagging along, it would great

If there are any promoters who would like me to spin, please contact me, I'm bringing my records

unfortuantely, talent alone doesnt get you sets in the UK, you need to lick arse to get anywhere

if you are wanting gigs, you should have shoved your name into promoters faces first.

if i were you, i would bring loads of demo's with you, and lick some promoter's arses while you are over here. then maybe next time you come over, you will be more likely to have somewhere to play

the best way for you to get a gig over here would be to invite some promoters/djs over to canada to play for your night, and then they will usually invite you back over to play for them, this is what happens alot in the uk, especially with the smaller nights.

or, as has already been said, you really will need to be North American brownosing Champion, with a proper natural born arse licker talent goin on, for you to land a gig in just 3 weeks.

I haven't had any internet access all week, but I'n now here in nottingham...

I guess it was a bit ambishious of me to hope to spin somewhere (I had in mind a house party to meet some TA, but in the end, I didn't bring my record bag.) No, I don't think I'm some superstar Dj who can just come to town and play, but it was ment as more of an ice breaker....sorry to offend anyone.

Can anyone suggest places to go in nottingham?

I will probably go to the Bomb this sat, but what else is good for trance, prog?

The bomb wont be any good for trance, they dont have much going on there at all at the moment, they put on some house nights but have few big names. The best club for lineups is Stealth.

I actually did go to the bomb, and it was DNB, but had a great time anyways....

I will try to make it to stealth before I go home, but it looks like my stay here will be extened for another couple of weeks...

Are there any big acts coming through Nottingham soon? Any good parties I should check out?

besides the bomb and stealth nottingham doesnt really offer much in terms of electronic music .. especially not trance
