downloading...feedback in a minute

very deep and dark, i like it
sounds like it'd be signed to bedrock
nice percs during the breakdown near the end
slow and not exciting or anything, but just what i'd want from a track like this
good work

nothing to lose!

I like the sort of exotic percs during the breakdown and the general atmosphere, change the clap and the hats (too classic imo) and do a groovy bassline instead of this constant growly bass which can bored easily while the percs are well...

In all cases good job and keep working on progressive, you have the potential to do a huge tune.

wow this is really nice i love the vocal bit your using .. I really like the atmosphere.. THIS IS an awesome track bro.. Keep up the work I would like to get a full 192 or so for djing purposes..

Jay

d-miurge Thanks for the critics man, this is actually my first attempt at making such tune. Till now I was making mostly trance, so im still learning about the principles of prog and stuff but ill try doing what you said.
Love your work btw

AstralNrg Thanks for listening man, glad you enjoyed it. The tune isnt finished yet, so ill talk to you when ill have a full version.

if you need hosting, pm me
i got 100 megs from my school account, and i really only need it for my own songs and i'm not gonna be near 100 megs for a long time

There is a new link to the sample, thanks to Mezzir
Cant wait to hear what you people think!

You just go from strength to strength... I love the thick percussion, the dark bass and the chord changing between major and minor. The wood blocks sound great!
There could perhaps be a bit more rhythm in the bass, but as it stands it is still bloody good.
Sorry I can't give you any constructive criticism mate, this sounds excellent! It's good to hear something a little different from you.

Woha like this one, very dark and atmospheric.

Love the small details, especially that bubbling acid that keeps getting panned.

there is some perc, but i couldn't feel any power from them, don't know if thats the intention or the bitrate.

some dark choirs will suit this well.

Nice one

pho mo Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. It's really kind of boring to stick with just one genre of EMD. It's defiantly refreshing to try something new once in awhile.

Massive84 Hey thanks for listening Fehad. Really like your music so its great to receive some feedback from you.

Cheers guys!

very good production.

the sounds are well chosen (especially that psychedelic vocal snippet ). the percussion programming is very good, too.
the reverbs used create nice athmosphere. did you use slight reverb in the mastering process too ?
now to the "story". imo there needs to be some new element introduced during the break that makes the listener excited for the second part of the track. and a change in the rhythm, even it's just a subtle one.
along with a grooving bassline, as mentioned earlier, "illustrated" will kick azz .

overall, a very good track which just needs some small changes !

sounds really great man. the percussion is definitely the strong point of this tune. great atmosphere too. nothing really bad to say about it. it may get a bit boring after a while tho. so maybe some more vocal clips or something would help liven it up.

Posted by DJ-Kreing^^ on Feb-07-2005 22:12:

Thanks for giving it a listen guys!

Posted by AlphaStarred on Feb-08-2005 01:13:

perhaps you can add a bit more substance to it, but withal, this is certainly signable material imo

Posted by deejayTHUNDER on Feb-08-2005 03:46:

amazing track... from a progressive dj standpoint i cant wait for the finished product to drop it in one of my mixes. please let me know when it is completed.

Posted by cybernetica on Feb-08-2005 17:06:

Very nice track, even though progressive is not so much my style I really enjoyed this. Mixing is great, can't find a point of criticism. That deep sharp Semi-Bass Synths are just -wow! The only thing that I personally disliked a bit were the tribal-like drums. They could sound a bit "fuller", I'd try layering them with another drumsound.
Apart from that, this is just an amazing track, couldn't really make a difference between this one and professional prog track (imo this one is even better)

Posted by DJ-Kreing^^ on Feb-08-2005 18:27:

Thanks guys!
Now getting closer and closer to finishing this, dont know if I would try my luck with the labels just yet. If it doesnt work out I will defiantly post a full version
Cheers!

great sound you have there m8! i really like your percs, bassline is cool imo, but it's true, a groovy bassline wouldn't be bad. bassdrum needs more power, too weak imo. the spacey conga that comes in in the break shouldn't play more than 2 notes, otherwise it's getting too chaotic if you know what i mean.

Posted by trance-ecj on Feb-08-2005 20:03:

WICKED!

Posted by DJ-Kreing^^ on Feb-09-2005 16:07:

coldheaven - That space conga was actually supposed to act like a synth, wanted to create something a bit melodic with it, sort of like in 'Break in the clouds' by holden.

Thanks for giving it a listen!
