9-11/armed forces Tribute?
I wasn't around here back then, but by any chance did any TA's put together a sort of "tribute to:" track for the victims of 9-11/members of the armed forces?
If you guys did it back then, where can i download it?
i'd do another one for all the poor iraqis dead for nothing.
I know many tribute songs are to be found in various corners of the void, but I dont know if any came specifically from here. Sorry
PS. is this the forum for political commentary?
no, it isn't. Sorry

ahem, cough...
i was hoping people might start offering up their skills to put something together...
i dont want to sound like a pr1ck, but please leave your soap boxes out of this thread.
there, i said it.
i got started on this idea when i was looking for a sample of a pilot announcing over the intercom to the passengers before they land, like in that one Outkast song. and i found this page that has the united flight 93's last few minutes. (among many others, such as egypt flight 900)
not that i would put that into the song, it just kinda pissed me off.
not kinda, it REALLY pissed me off.
i would actualy rather do a tribute to the troops, rather than 9-11 victims, cause it'd give you more room to work with (instead of something slow and sad, it can be hard and fast)
darwinism got them. bottom line they werent high enough on the food chain. now as for how it really works.... you throw rocks shoot ak's and fire missles at an milltary that has gps guided smart bombs your going to loose.....
kinda post whoring it up now... but haha id like to hear some of these not as a tribute but solely for my own enjoyment... flying a 737 and dc 10 is like playing afterburn on snes... its fucking simple the fact that they couldnt take over the terrorists show how fucking incomptonant and un willing to die they are... fucking pussys they had fucking box cutters... ohh know a fucken razor blade. i really have no pitty for the people that died while on board the planes as well they were pussys they didnt bother retaking over the planes and the ones that did failed becuase they couldnt even land the thing and just crashed it.
...
cough...
Well it may have escaped you minds but a little thing happened on 11 Sept 2001 and it changed the World's view on terror! After the crisis in Afganistan and the downfall of the leadership of the Taliban, Iraq was the next country in line to be neutalised from any terrorist activity! Clearly having links/associations with Al' Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden! Saddam Hussian was a dispicable dictator whom killed his own, invaded other countries ie. Kuwait! I am not a Bush supporter don't get me wrong but I agree on some of his policies! A statement I heard the other day which rang so true; 'the only threat to World peace is the Americans!'. War only comes down to one thing in my opinion religion!
if you need me ill be in Political Discussion...
too meet this thread there

war comes when too many human beings forget what they are living on earth for.

Back on topic
There was a documentry about troops in iraq that documented their musical prefrences(It was done by an Australian reporter). Some liked rap, some liked heavy metal etc etc, and alot of the soldiers actually wrote lyrics while stantioned there. The documentry had alot of solos of different troops singing the lyrics that they themselves wrote.
One singer particulary caught my attention as she had an amazing voice and the lyrics were touching. At the time, I was thinking about ripping it and doing something with it but I never got around to it.
Now I don't know what the documentry was called, but farenheit 9/11 (the micheal moore film) had snippets out of that particular documnetry. You would think that micheal moore could get his own footage but oh no
