Worst Remix

As we all know when some tracks get remixed it can go good, and even to a orgasmic level, and then we have the really really bad ones. here is a selection of them. i decided to keep in trance and only remixes of trance songs.

I like the Rank 1 Re-Edit of Nu NRG. However, Picotto's remix of Tiesto ang Lasgo's of Freeloader are realy awful.

Tiesto's remix of gatex surely.

He's just added a beat to the tune so he can mix it. The guy makes me laugh, how he can actually release it as a "remix".

So many to puke on.. but i'd pick Junior Vasquez mix of Airwave. How the f00k could he make that bad and cheesy remix of a track that good, and added also horrible male vocals on top???!!!

but i do like the steve murano remix of solarcoaster though. IMO it's brilliant! something different at least! and that's pretty much the ony track by him i like too

Everything I've heard by Steve Murano is toilet waste IMO, so I'm voting on his mix of "Solarcoaster".

The Tiesto mix of "Eugina" is probably my favourite version of that bar the Pacific Diva version.

Agh, hardest poll ever!

I agree with aloep, the Steve Murano mix of Solarcoaster wasn't worth the vinyl it was pressed on.

But others have voted for it, and my dislike of Kai Tracid's "remix" of Neuro '99 is greater. Total embarassment to the original.

Rank 1 remix of Dreamland ranks pretty high up there too.

Went for C sharp, letting someone like Markus on that was just plain wrong! All the new versions were pretty naff actually. Agree with all of those there though (of the ones i've heard) apart from Eugina (although it was probably the weakest mix of the bunch).

The idea of a Rank 1 remix of Dreamland sounded amazing... was so hugely disappointing when I actually heard it.. definitely ranks up there in that respect.

You're denegrating a legend. If you want something more accessible, please try and tell me that My Lexicon fits your definition.

There's nothing wrong with Kleinenberg's remix of Exhale, save that it's virtually nothing like the original. It's one of the least offensive of those listed.

it starts ok, but what the hell happend to the rest, i have almost managed to clear this from my memory.

kai, seriously, what was you thinking, no seriously, what was you thinking, this is the work of 6 year olds not from someone like you

umek - gatex (tiesto remix)
this is just one of tiesto's enbarrasing remix, adding a 4/4 kick and just making it longer is one of the most laziest things ever

rank 1 - airwave (junior vasquez remix)
i hate airwave, but let's put that aside, but what is the deal with adding male vocals and just throwing in large pieces of cheese to this track

new order - blue monday (jam & spoon remixes)
this was when jam & spoon was gradually starting to shift sound, sadly. the outcome is best described as to much,to little & not enough

system f & armin van buuren - exhale (sander kleinenberg remix)
this is going to be my attack against these meaningless total revise remixes, infact you can't even count it as a remix.

echano - nothing to life for (gareth emery remix)
taking mart's brilliant original and just making it asot fluff, not good mr emery

armin - communication part 2 (electro mix)
ben liebrand did this remix, ben has done better stuff in the past, this is meaningless bad filler for the meaningless vocal remake of communication

driftwood - freeloader (lasgo remix)
, ok, let's be serious for a second, yeah, freeloader was quite the ball of cheese, but asking lasgo to remix it, seriously, it's so cheesy & bad that dj sammy is offended

ricky fobis - no regular (m.i.k.e. remix)
m.i.k.e., just stay out of electro.

tiesto - lethal industry (mauro picotto remix)
mauro decided to pull the ol' total revise trick on this "remix", guess what mauro?, when doing a revise, it isn't a remix, add what's up with adding vocoded "lethal industry" vocal samples

nu nrg - dreamland (rank 1 re-edit)
dreamland is one of those tracks that just can't be remixed, so you shouldn't even try in the first place. rank1 just proved this fact, they couldn't pull even a remotely interesting take on this

tomcraft - loneliness (benny benassi remix)
this one is for all benassi's remixes that sound like satisfaction + eventual vocals + melody of original. don't get me wrong, i liked satisfaction, but hearing it being rehashed in every remix, c'mon?

salt tank - eugina (tiesto remix)
yes, many disagree on this one, i feel this is a very disrespectful remix, no wonder tiesto almost never played his remix.

gouryella - ligaya (yoji biomehanika remix)
oh boy how this is cheesy, i mean gouda,edamer,cheddar. ligaya remade in a hardhouse/hardstyle fashion with vocoded "ligaya" vocal samples.

tommonari & tommy pi - c sharp 2005 (markus schulz remix)
c sharp, never needed a remix, and markus gave it the laidback "coldharbour" treatment, somehow, the punch and the plot was lost, the outcome was a bag of zzzz

I don't think that there is anything worse than Driftwood - Freeloader (Lasgo Remix). Cheese treated by even more cheese.

While it isn't on the list, I'd say the Ferry Corsten "Remix" of Art Of Trance - Madagascar has to be one of the worst. Listen to the original, then listen to the Cygnus X Remix and you'll see this is a direct copy of the Cygnus X Remix and bares nothing in common to the original at all. All it is really is just a very lazy and more generic sounding re-edit of the Cygnus X Remix.
