A question about VCE and uni
I completed VCE in 2003, and in 2004 I started science at Monash. I failed miserably and so applied to transfer to accounting, which needs an enter of 87 ( i got 77). I just received notification that the application was unsuccessful.
My question is, will I be allowed to start a course in 2006 at another uni, which I DO have the enter to for (it needs 74)?
Is the enter still valid?
Generally not.
They will tend to consider you as a 'mature age student' and may ask you to sit a test such as the stat or seomthing similar, but your enter is no longer relevant.
Really? i thought your enter was relevant..it just changes year to year with all the different rules brought in??
If you failed your units in your current course of Science and would like to continue or repeat instead of transfering or waiting a year, you can actually write a letter to the uni asking them to reinstate you. the letter should include reasons why you think they should let you continue and many reasons why you will try harder. I had to do it at the first uni i attended because i failed also and it didnt look like i was going to be accepted in to Deakin. And it worked, they let me back in, but then i got into Deakin...so i sucked all that arse for nothing
NB...writing a reinsatment letter may not garentee you a place back at uni, but its worth a try.
cant you just ring the relevant admissions dept and ask?
i work at melb uni, i can certainly ring and ask if you cant get thru or whatever i suppose?
