Anyone hittin up the WMC this year??

I know I would be the idiot that's deciding pretty late but are their anyone with plans on attending the event this year. Been meaning to get there the past few years and still haven't come through. I'd really like to do it up but I'm not sure if I left it too last minute.

there is another thread somewhere... just to lazy to look for it lol

I'm going now... because the line-up at BeB so dull... only person I wanna see there is... Deep Dish... I aint a big fan of Tiesto.

So here I come UltraFest 2005, I know Tiesto going to be there but... look at the line-up for UMF!

wmc is still over a month away - it's never too late to decide to go! there are still a bunch of hotels ($180-200 range) available in south beach.

if you've never been, go! you'll have a blast (as long as you're over 21, everything but ultra is 21+) and a break from the cold is never a bad thing either. beautiful beaches, great parties 24-7, it doesn't get too much better than that!

Ultra is for all ages I e-mailed them two days ago, said it was for all ages.

that's what ruby riva said , except for ultra , all other events are 21+

I'm still thinking of hitting this up...will be a last minute decision if I can get a good deal/package to South Beach.

By the way Ruby, I'm absolutely shocked to find out that I'm not the only TA in Pittsburgh

the only thing to keep in mind is that it is easter weekend. flights may be more $$ and space available is limited. the sooner you can book the better. also, if you can return on monday morning, 3/28, you can save $$ too.

there's a few (maybe 5?) TAs hanging around pittsburgh, and 3 are definitely going to wmc - are you in pitt now, or montreal?

Is there anyone that's been already with good advice on accomodations. I did a bit of searching and calling around but lots of the places were booked or way too expensive ($300+) a night. Any advice or recommendations on hotels....anything would be great.

Ya I know...I've already started scrambling to find tickets and accomodations, but doesn't look likely...discussed it with some friends tonight, but if it means that I miss even a second of Bal en Blanc, then fuck it.

As for Pittsburgh, yes, I'm currently living here for the time being. I tend to fly into Montreal every month or so simply because I'm from there and I can't stomach the Pitts for more than 30 days in a row. This town is anathema for any EDM fan I tell you!!!

im seriously thinkin of hittin up ultra for 2 days or whatever. it would be pretty expensive ($300 roundtrip from vancouver+hotels) but probally worth it!

i think we are going finally still have to confirm the flight but we might stay a few days in south beach

honestly, i think this is gonna be THE party of WMC this year

we don't get techno lineups like that much in the US, i have a feeling space is gonna get deSTROYED that night

i think the tronic treatment party will be better on wednesday night. privilege was a great venue for the techno parties last year. the tronic treatment and blue bookings parties were the highlight of the conference! not sure of the lineup yet, but christian smith + others (maybe adam beyer - his calendar says he's in miami march 23, venue tba).

i HATE space and dread going there on tuesday and friday nights. the sound system is $hit, and imo so is the crowd. it's so commercialized and if ANYONE pulls that stupid horn on tuesday night that would really suck. we'll see what meganite brings.

heh, you're right about space... esPECIALLY during wmc, you can bet all thoese parties are gonna be VERY cozy as for the crowd, at least wmc will bring in a lot of europeans and others, so that should balance out the regular miami meat head/stuck up supermodel crowd i gotta disagree with you on the horn tho, i love that thing!!! (as long as pdiddy doesn't start going nuts on it LOL)

and you're gonna hafta keep all of us updated on that tronic party, cuz that DOES sound like it's gonna rock the house ^9999____

There's a young hostel affiliated to HI in Miami;

At US$17 for a night, maybe this can help some of you.

Unless of course, you're either in the fetal position during his entire set or on your ass and immobilized, fighting cramps

hahaha...I didn't even HEAR his set I was outside spread out on the floor, in the corridor At least you were still inside the stadium. But yeah, it doesn't look like I'll make it this year. Too expensive cause we waited last minute, and with Bal en Blanc so close, I would rather focus my energies and my money on that But enjoy if for me dammit
