The House chamber in Virginia's General Assembly has voted 60-34 in favour of the so-called "droopy drawers" Bill to penalise people who wear their pants too low, exposing their boxer shorts or G-strings in a "lewd or indecent manner".

"Underwear is called underwear for a reason," said Republican politician John Reid.

"Most of us would identify this as the coarsening of society."

The conservative state's Senate must now vote on the legislation, which some opponents denounced as a Bill targeting young black people imitating rap stars wearing loose pants.

Citizens' groups have warned that the proposed law could lead to racial discrimination.

The fashion is not limited to blacks nor the US, with the trend spreading around the world, resulting in both men and women indiscriminately wearing their pants vertiginously low.

Yea heard summat bout this and had to piss myself! But it then went onto say that this law, if passed, would target mainly the black community. Its just one of those stupid fundamentalist religous arguments that try to explain societies problems on silly little things the al-Qaida types, sorry, the Christian radicals, see as 'not Christian' and completely ignor the real problems

You can find the word on dictionary.com

Those internet dictionaries are sometimes incomplete. I remember when I was looking for spelling the word circumference and couldn't find it on any dictionary site.

RICHMOND, Virginia (AP) -- Virginia lawmakers dropped their droopy-pants bill Thursday after the whole thing became just too embarrassing.

The bill, which would have slapped a $50 fine on people who wear their pants so low that their underwear is visible in "a lewd or indecent manner," passed the state House on Tuesday but was killed by a Senate committee in a unanimous vote.

Republican Sen. Thomas K. Norment said news reports implied that lawmakers were preoccupied with droopy pants.

"I find that an indignation, which dampens my humor," Norment said.

Republican Sen. Kenneth Stolle, the committee chairman, called the bill "a distraction."

The committee hearing drew a standing-room-only crowd that included about 75 government students from Surry County High School.

"If people in Florida can wear bikinis, a little underwear showing isn't going to hurt anybody," 17-year-old Elvyn Shaw said.

The bill's sponsor, Democratic Delegate Algie T. Howell, declined to answer reporters' questions Thursday but issued a statement saying the bill "was in direct response to a number of my constituents who found this to be a very important issue."

He has said the constituents included customers at his barber shop who were offended by exposed underwear.

Well, is not like it affects as trance addicts, unless we try to immitate the ghetto or dress Hip Hop or gangsta like.. if anyone of you do, then it must suck.. but really, I always get a WTF face when I see someone showing off the underwears.. so wtf!!.. is a very funny and extremely move, but I sort of support it heh.
