Clap

Hi there,
In the past ive used drumloops but im wantin 2 create a nice trance clap ive try'd a few times but it sounded crap i eq'd alot of the top end out of it as a trance clap sounds 2 me that its eq'd that way but it just aint soundin vey gud please help or point me 2 a gud tutorial thanx

do you synthesize your claps yourself or do you use samples/layered samples+eq???

got loads of standard clap samples but couldnt get them 2 sound like a trance clap so had 2 end up just using sum rex loops but i wanna create my own

THanks for that, man I'm using it in my latest track. Note to everyone: if you compress, eq, and reverb that clap right, it is SNAPPY. Thanks again.

(I'm a firm believer that there are only a few samples that will work right in each track for their specific jobs; this clap just randomly happened to work perfectly with my new track. I went through about 10 clap samples prior )

And sorry, I can't post the sample unless someone wants to host it for me...
