Iriver deserves an award for their MP3 CD Players...

By far the best design and worst performance combined. I haven't encountered any product thats as shitty as their p.o.s CD players.

I've already gone through 2 players since I bought my first one 2 years ago; I'm now using my third one, and it looks as if I'm gonna be needing another replacement. I'm seriously getting fed up with this sad excuse for a CD player.

THe first one broke..fine. They replaced it without any problems. Must've just been bad luck right? THen that one fucks up not even a year later...thats just BS.

...and now, my third one is skipping, freezing and locking up. I'm still not 100% sure if its the player, or a faulty multi-session CD...but this is the second disc that it's happend on. Both of those discs are clean, and have tiny tiny scratches on them; but it's not something that should pose a problem.

Anyone else use their MP3 CD Players?

Yer i used to have one

That fucked up the same as yours skipping etc

hell it used to scratch itself to, in the end i put it into a vice while i was pissed

In a perfect world I would've introduced the player to the wall a long time ago, but fact is: I paid good money for it, and I've only had it for 2 years.

are they even updating their firmware for it? i have the slimx350 with 2.30 and have no problems for years and am still waiting for new firmware/features.

sometimes mine doesn't load the multisession...so, for example today I had added Demi@Kiss100 to a disk with MDK's EM on it...and the Demi set wouldn't show up.

what do you do with livesets or cd's? Thats my main gripe with HD players. A liveset, or CD, I can cue it. Do HD MP3 players support cue files?

...and what if you want to listen to a tune thats at the end of the set/cd?

Use the 'study' feature on the hdd based players. It allows you to skip ahead or behind in a song by 1-5 minutes with a single push of the button. Very handy.

I've had the imp-400 for 2 maybe 3 years now and it hasnt given me any problems(except for the "no disc inside" problem). The 550 was very fucked up, a couple of my friends bought it and both of them had to send their players for repairs within weeks.

Probably the best sounding portable music player out there and the sleekest in terms of design
I'm gonna use this beauty until it gives up on me..and i dont think its gonna be anytime soon.
