ok cool because I've seen some people do "Live PA" and all they do is press play on the computer and pretend like they're doing something. I can't wait to see them I hope

what time you think they'll come on

Posted by Zack Roth on Feb-11-2005 18:50:

unless I'm going crazy I remember at Arc the taller guy with hair actually using the keyboard to play melodies.

Why is it that live acts and PA only last about 1-2 hours. I hear this all the time. Couldnt they think of sometime ahead of time to make their live sets longer.

Nu Nrg I believe might be coming to DC on the 19th. Cant Wait!!

because they're recreating only their own songs and remixes, and its much more work than just spinning records. They're short and sweet.

Thx for the insight

Essentialy all they do is hit play on a few sequencers and tweek a few filter knobs... Nothing to write home about... There isnt much you can do with a dance track live....

I wonder if Markus will throw in some trance somewhere in the set.. the prog trance is good. But for how long?

i saw them live in Italy, and they played their melodies live on their keyboard, so idk what every1 is talking about it not being special??? maybe theyre live act in the US is limited to just tweeking a few nobs, but when i saw them in Italy, i was amazed at their live performance, ill never forget it.... the only other TRUE live act i believe is PUSH (aka M.I.K.E.'s group)... they play the melodies on their keyboards lets hop Nu Nrg does so @ Spirit

ok good, I'm not going crazy. They were definitely playing all their own melodies at Arc in 2003.

I remember going to see Airwave do a live PA act as Green Martian at Godskitchen last yera and he faked the whole thing so badly. it was hilarious.

On the flip side, I saw Astral Projection doa live PA at Estate (Avalon) a couple of years ago and it was my most memorable club night out ever.
