Tranceaddict ID Contest 19

O K Here we go, id competition 19 Mostly trance again, alot of older songs to keep everyone on their toes as well as some newer ones!

The Points System:

There are 50 samples to identify. You get 1 point for guessing the correct artist, title or remix. So, if it's a remix of a track, you can earn 3 points, otherwise : 2 points. An example : Let's say I included a sample of Junkie XL - Breezer (DJ Tiesto Remix). Here's a list of possible answers and how many points each answer gets :

- Junkie XL - ?? -> 1 point
- ?? - Breezer (DJ Tiesto Remix) -> 2 points
- Junkie XL - Beauty Never Fades (DJ Tiesto Remix) -> 2 points
- Junkie XL - Breezer (DJ Tiesto Remix) -> 3 points!

In case of an Original Mix or a Radio Edit, you don't have to mention it, there won't be extra points then.

The competition starts today feb 11th, 1 am (Eastern time). You have one month to submit your answers and can either do this by e-mail at [email protected] , or the prefered method of PM. The deadline for submission is March 14th at 1 am (this means the evening of March 13th). I'll have the final answers posted by the latest on March 14th in the evening. You may alter your list and submit it as many times as you wish.

Remember to mention your TA name if you use e-mail.

i'm very curious. about what percentage of the selections are exclusively from the live-sets that are being traded around? none right?

all can be found on legit cds and vinyl right? if they can't, some people (like myself) would be at a serious disadvantage.

all these songs have been released on a label if thats what your asking

Hmmmm ... I'll enter depending on how much I like this contest, I am kinda not in the mood ....

There are several tunes I recognize right away, apart from the absolutely obvious IDs: 17, 20, 41 (this tune is by my one of my all-time favourite artists, and one of my top 3 favourite tunes by this artist, amazing classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and some really great dance music classics like 13 and 27 (great late 1980s dance tune, hehe).

I know 7, just listened to it last week, forgot the name ...

gonna give it a go, I might hear something new

god, i only seem to know 33 and 39. At least i'll beat my score of 2 points :P

I'm confident of close to 20 points on first listen, know about 15-18 more of the tracks however

aint got a clue on any of them an awful lot of them are harder trance something i dont listen too

Looks a new alltime low for me, mostly due to tons of bland epic trance that neither does anything for me or sounds familiar. I guess it's due to the fact that I never was much of a fan of epic trance back then. Cool to see some hardcore in here though. I might get around 25-30 points if I can be arsed at some point.

Epic Trance?!?!?!?!?! i only heard like around 5 that i would have called epic trance.

I didnt know any of them, and nor do I want. Every single one sucked

that's well harsh. Just because someones tastes don't match your own doesn't mean you can say it sucks. Karim might be able to say exactly the same about your choices should you have to put 50 up

man i think we are screwed with this one, karim knows all the melodies that sound exactly the same...
