Doing uni in your summer holidays

I've got my marketing management final exam on Monday as I've been studying the unit since Jan 6. Does this make me a nerd?

I'm going to UWA O'Camp to tell all the young freshers about EMAS (Electronic Music Appreciation Society) next week. Does that make me a dirty old man?

Why do I always post so much shit when I should be studying?

i did marketing management last semester, wasnt as interesting as i thought it wud b. goodluck with the exam, wud suck doing it now. but hey weather has been pretty weird so its not like u r missing many beach days oh and yes u r a dirty old man.

But I'm in Perth where the weather has been fine in the 20's for the last 2 weeks.

Thanks Phil. It was a choice between doing it now or doing it during 1st semester which starts in a few weeks and having 2 lecture clashes per week.

..plus I need to get a 5.5 GPA to go to Melb or Syd uni next year and doing 1 unit by itself is an easy way to boost your marks.

umm gpa's only go up to 4 ? maybe nsw is diff? but i thought it was same for every uni!

Different uni's do it differently.

The system I'm working on goes:

50-54= 4.0
55-59= 4.5
60-64= 5.0
65-69= 5.5
70-74= 6.0
75-79= 6.5
80+ = 7.0

At the moment I'm averaging about 5.4 due to a couple of 51% commerce units last year but this year I'm doing lots of maths units which are freakin easy to get 80% in.

I'm doing Arts/Commerce at the moment, although not much is happening with the Arts

Ur in EMAS?? I am too!! r there any events coming up soon?? Also is there a EMAS common room or something (ive never been to any EMAS events)

Yeah I've been pretty busy with uni but we've booked our O'Day stall & just have to sort out sponsorship, members cards, etc over the next 2 weeks. We're arranging with DJFunktions to have a free members night using the grant we got from their performance for "Music on the Green" on the Oak Lawn last year. We're also looking at a couple of possible gigs for 1st semester.
