Smile Tongue Chemical Brothers - Galvanize (Pocket Rocket Remix) 256kbps

Hello there. This is just a little something I came up with for fun. If you enjoy it, then that's great. If you don't, then bear in mind that I'm not marketing this as any kind of masterpiece, far from it. I just thought I'd share it.

Chemical Brothers - Galvanize (Pocket Rocket Remix)

Posted by Crash on Feb-13-2005 14:56:

the beat is nice...thump thump thump...what the?, did you pitch up the voice?

hmm did you sample the song?, well i thought it would have been nicer if you got your hands on the acapella (its out there somewhere, look on trance.nu for a chemical remix comp) the synths are really nice and driving at that "low" speed, but the problem with sampling the song is still there, i dont really like the sound of the up pitched vocals.

if you work more on it i think it can be a really great tune.

I throughly liked it very funky, and I liked the high pitched vocals good work!

WOW, is that Mart gone housie?!?haha, the world has turned upside down.

This is really well made, percussion is spot-onlove the funky vibe. Defiantly a tune I'm gonna use in my sets, if thats ok with you Mart that is

Of course, I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the feedback so far.

i love it, it's the second best thing to the original. that filthy bassline, that mint acidline and the awesome tension builder the breaks give is just orgasmic.

wicked remix Mart....well done

Posted by aquila on Feb-13-2005 22:24:

Nice one! Did you enter this into the official compo at acidplanet.com?

I thought you had to use specific software for that competition? Anyway, I doubt this would have much chance of winning.

Posted by goatus on Feb-14-2005 03:59:

i dont think any of the winners of those comps actually use that freeware peice of crap.. and much worse tracks than this have won in the past. give it a go

I've heard like 10 remixes of Galvanize and this is the first one I've liked! Nice work

quality stuff dude

Posted by GLD on Feb-14-2005 16:08:

cool beat, really groovy. did u use a sample loop, sounds like that just extended with some bassdrum and stuff. oh yes, that sounds like you sampled the track, but spunds good! man, i really like that beat! production quality is top notch, good job!

Posted by TOR on Feb-14-2005 16:31:

lovely groove

that said, the melody between 1:50 & 2:30 is way too quiet. it comes back between 4:30 & 4:50. raise the volume, because the track looses a lot of its power there.

Posted by NoisyNeil on Feb-14-2005 16:42:

don't really like it Mart I enjoyed the remix of Felix da Housecat so I rushed to get this one but I was quite dissapointed... can't always succeed ey

Posted by Massive84 on Feb-14-2005 18:19:

Like it allot, nice work man!

Only thing i would do in this is just a bit more edits here and there and a few more sfx sounds.

But , good to see the other side from you Mart.

Posted by RickyM on Feb-14-2005 18:30:

Don't like this I'm afraid - but that is because it isn't my style. The bassline is a bit annoying for me, as are the vocals. But it is well produced and the percussion is top notch.

haven't heard the original but I really like this version! it has a cool groove. keep it up

btw is Pocket Rocket a new alias of yours?

Posted by Flotser on Feb-15-2005 09:23:

hey MaRt

Its realy realy nice, and works well!

however, i guess i prefer the original , esspecialy the percussion samples of the original.

good luck =)

I read the rules carefully and there was nothing to say against using sources other than acid. I made my remix in reason. What did you use for yours?

Oh feck! I forgot to reply.. great work yet again Mart! Groovy baby yeah!

And you should take part in the remix contest asap!

Posted by Jay M on Feb-15-2005 13:52:

Groovy shizzle here. Like the percs. I'm expecting some more groovy delay fx and stuff here to beef it up and make it a lot more dynamic. Break is a bit static too, but nice sounds in it. Main part is ok. Yeh there are the vocals, haha cool. That stringy there can use a bit more identity I think, just a little boost.

Nice work overall m8.
