Valentines Day Gripe!
Yes! Letting some steam go...
Ever notice how the smaller picture just ruins the bigger picture only cuz it wasn't delivered as a whole? Well point being, I know it's a busy season for the florist and FTD, 1800Flowers, all of them. It's Christmas time for them to rake in the money. And usually between these companies exist some sort of reputation in which they stand by their service and product...NOT!
Now a friend of mine had once said to me, to not feel obligated to give flowers every valentines, and yes I took that advice in the past and felt that maybe this year it'll be suitable. So of course 1800Flowers I dial, with my company discount in hand (YES!) and figured it'd be nice to have some flowers delivered, nothing crazy like a dozen roses or anything, a simple tulip/rose boquet, which was reasonably priced, so last week I had placed the order (thurs/fri) and i gave all my info...fine perfect.
Now the bigger picture! It was a lunch thing during our 1hr break and it was some nice food and just quality time together. Nothing romantic ala sweep you off your feet...and I'd assume that since i specifically requested the drop off to a BUSINESS LOCATION that they would honor it before 5-6pm. What time is this post stamped?
*warning gripe approaching*
So I speak with her a few times after a WONDERFUL lunch, sort of an icing on the cake mentality only to discover that she isn't surprised yet! I call 1800Flowers and wadda ya know, they said it's on the truck for delivery and they have until 7pm to deliver them. EXCUSE ME, I was specifically told that it would arrive before 5pm. *gettin a bit annoyed at this point* So I'm talkin to the guy and I'm like yo dude, check this out ok, she's leaving work and they are going to be sitting in the mail room over night, I did not pay for flowers to sit in a mail room aiight! And he goes, nothing I can do, we allow it up to 7pm. I'm like alright yadda yadda yadda, I'm annoyed at the fact that they might not get there...now for the part that made me REALLY pissed off.
On friday I gave my email address specifically asking for them to e-mail me a receipt. I'm sitting here on Monday at 5pm and have yet to receive a receipt. They charged my AMEX, and my inbox still ain't got no damn RECEIPT. So yes, NOW IM PISSED! The flowers ok whatevers they are late...but a fucking RECEIPT which you EMAIL that takes no more than 10minutes, I still ain't got one! Ok seriously pissed so I'll stop now...
*end gripe*
Some of these companies really don't know how to properly cater to their customers.
SERIOUSLY.
