Hey, I think they should. It really destroys me emotionally when I have to watch all those stupid couples "celebrate" their damn love.
fuck if theres one thing thats annoying, its being single every valentines..

Either ban valentines day or make it a male holiday. If guys have to pay for it they should at least get the day off!

Valentine's isn't just about romantic love...although I agree even though you are supposed to celebrate friendship on this day as well you will have a tough time finding a friend to hang with because they are most likely out with a significant other or line up at the Laura Secord Shop on the day of because what they had planned for their signficant other wasn't quite big enough. I have met the love of my life and we don't celebrate valentine's day because it is just a hallmark money making holiday in our eyes and if you do good things for each other and those you care about throughout the rest of the year, you shouldn't feel obligated to extra on a "i love you" day that someone else created. However, getting out for dinner on Feb. 14th in order to be able to witness the inevitable fights between couples, because someone didn't do enough, spend enough or showed up late for dinner etc, can be pretty entertaining...and helps me remember what is really important and what really is needed to make one happy.

I agree...the holiday does create such greed and selfishness. Just be thankyou you see past it all and aren't trapped by it
