Anyone been to Malia in Crete?
Hi,
Few mates of mine are going to Malia on holiday this year July time and I was just wondering if anyone else had been or know anything about it?
The main question being, is there *ANY* trance playing clubs???? 
I've done some searches and looks like most of it is shit RnB 
and Garage .... but there must be at least one place!!!!
Please help!!! 
malia is the new beer boy shit hole holiday destination, i would expect nothing but shit music, ugly slags, muggings, and pissed wankers.

but have u or anyone u know actually been? i mean, there may be 1 fit bird, or 1 nice club... there is some rumour that Judge/Dave Pearce go to the MOS there, although not too sure about that!

I went with a large group of about 19 i think.
Ok here we go:
PRO's
+ Most hotels have a pool
+ Lots of themed bars
+ Beach 15-20 min max wherever you go
+ There was ONE trance club called Club UK which played all trance classics some nights
+ Most Bars sell full english breakies for �3 in the day and have huge projector tv's with all latest english programs
+ HOT
CON's (are you ready?)
- You get fined for everything at your hotel, i.e. going in pool after 7pm, bringing a girl back to your room at our hotel you had to pay extra for her! They take your passports to ensure everyone pays up (for even the stupidest of fines) so you cant leave.
- Peasants - Watch our for "women rose/hatbracelet/ sellers", "Bongo boys", security guards at maccies with trojans, they all steal/beat you at any oppertunity, honest.

- NEVER hire anything, we hired quad bikes, signed the contract then they then started adding charges to the official sheet we had signed and told us we had to pay �50 pound each insurance after being only told �20 and "escorted" to the nearest cashpoint to pay up.
- I Didnt see an MOS, i dont think there is one we did MAX research on clubs
- Like Fundamental States "shit music, ugly slags, muggings, and pissed wankers" pretty true !

Although, I did say to some of my mates that I'd be happy with 1 trance playing club...although the rest of it don't sound too good and obviously that club may not be there anymore
Would you say this place is very similar to Faliraki in Rhodes?
That had: VERY shit music, wankers, fights, police beating the shit out of people ... and 1 trance club (which wasn't bad actually!) hmmmmm
The only trance club I remember was down the road in the next resort called Hersonnousossssosos or something (All greek to me! )
They flyers for that club included Johan Gielen and some others. Really cant remember the name though sorry

Hersonisos was a good place tbh....and i think you mean crete arena or something like that....it was gielen fijnerman and tomcraft....along with lots of hard trance djs...
if you like hard style hersonisos is the place for u.....no fights during the week that i staid there...malia is more...british (no offence)you know...scullies picking up on fights....shit like that...

yeah. u probably noticed marco v etc. The resident there is a fat bastard but plays good melodic trance I remmber. Its either that or bars playing generic rnb with drunk british white trash smashing mirrors in the bathrooms with their fists jus baecause they didnt like the look of themseleves and then getting arrested and asking you as a really nice friend to bail them out!!!!!!1111`1

No probably what will happen is that my mates will get into some fight and get arrested and then ask me to bail them all out!!!
Anyways, I think there is FAR too many cons than pro's to go...
I'll just save my money for TIC2005 and Sensation

The trance club was the only good thing about it really.

well the best place in greece for music is mykonos, cavo paradiso brings tons of djs there, and there is another club as well there , more house and prog and a little techno than trance but pvd was there this year and armin with markus were supposed to play.
sasha and diggers really like the place as they are known to play from 5am to 2pm......
