im pretty sure the first 9hour he did at air cant remember the exact date, but im sure he played for longer than 9hours.

Posted by daeus on Feb-17-2005 23:11:

Ill dance for 9 hours just to show my dedication, and of course because it will rock!

I will be assisted with the help of gym-based "caffine tabs"

Hello!

my friend had to pull out of going, so its gonna be just me and a bottle of mineral water for company!

gonna enjoy it anyway, i ended up at global gathering alone too due to unforeseen circumstances.. still enjoyed it way too much :P

look out for the somewhat camply dressed dark haired lanky scary person dancing away with a bottle of evian and lil glowsticks in his hair :P

it shall be great.

tbh armin's been around the block in the UK so many times that most of the seasoned people aren't bothered about him anymore, plus the selections of tracks doesn't do it for a lot of ppl

i've seen him three times now, and I've loved every set.

I'm secretly hoping he'll drop in Communication 2004... but I'm guessing its more likely to be his usual harder affair, which is fine by me :P

I've never been to God's Kitchen before, tonight will be my first time. Their site says the dress code is "urban style... cyber gear is permitted, as are urban style jeans and trainers."

What will make my jeans and trainers qualify as urban? Does anyone have any more details about the dress code?

anyone whos goin tonight, fancy a TA meet up, let me know, be good to see some faces, il be in there just afta 1130.

max

yeh jeans and trainers are no problem mate, just make sure ur trainers are clean (ish) and you dont wear any chav!!(eg burberry!!!no one likes to see a chav sweating his ass off down the front!!!)

Well I'm finally NEARLY home, only another hour and I can drop into bed with my ringing ears for company. (Waiting at Brum New St. for two hours in freezing cold = no fun)

ANYWAY

He played Communication much to my delight, did the full 9 hours.. and I thought it was as good, if not better, than the other times I've seen him!

Carte Blanche was a nice surprise at the end

Was that you and your mate in the bus depot, came in afteryou, had to wait 3 hrs for 9:30 train at moor street got kiked out of bus waiting room cause ddnt hav a ticket obv lo, worth it tho ! :/

I posted a report but browser must hav fuked up, or my tiredness made me fukup lo.

But listening to AVB's GAS set for NYE its basically the same as last nite just a diff order and less tunes (obv he had a few venues to play at that night)!

Did you see armin with two huge carry cases, biggest ones ive seen lo.

Good night anyway!

Was an amazing night and I thought Armin's tracklist was just awesome - better than Tiesto's @ Passion who I went to see the night before. It was 7am before I knew it but I still wanted to go on. Again a beautiful crowd, sphere - both here and at Passion on Friday - one of my best weekends in the UK so far.

Some tracks I can remember:

Young Parisians Ft. Ben Lost - Jump The Next Train
Above & Beyond - No One On Earth (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
Armin van Buuren - Burned With Desire
Tiesto vs. Armin - Yet Another Suburban Train
Nu NRG - Free Fall
Push - Strange World
M.I.K.E. - Sunrise at Palamos
Solar Stone - 7 Cities (AvB Remix)
Veracocha - Carte Blanche

+ tonnes of others which I don't immediately remember or don't know the exact title of.

Posted by DJ Dingel on Feb-20-2005 17:08:

Classics prior to 3am -
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (AvB Remix)
Libra pres. Anamoly - Calling Your Name
Armin - Communication (I think)

5am -
Mudblood - Flaming June (or some other crappy remix)
Art of Trance - Madagascar (Kumara Remix)
Push - Strange World

6am -
Moogwai - Viola (AvB Remix)
Coast 2 Coast - Home
ID
Sarah McLachlan - World On Fire (JXL Remix)
Veracocha - Carte Blanche

Anyone have photos?

have to disagree with everyone, all 3 people i went with said he was shit after the first couple of hours.he just started needlessly banging it out. payed to see armin van buuren not eddie halliwell/dj tiesto. ive not seen him in a year almost and i cant say i like this new direction hes gone in prefered proper armin like he used to play at gatecrasher. i liked the clasics he played, but that was always goign to tbe the case. no score to gods shutting the bar at 3 am either. was a proper struggle to last till the end last night for me.

some other tracks played:

ridgewalkers-find
art of trance-madagascar
firewall-sincere
moogwai-viola
sarah mc clahlan-fallen
Misja Melsloot - First Second
andy ling fixation (airwave remix)
Gabriel & Dresden - I Gotta Thank
sander k-my lexicon

Yea i did get abit annoyed with some of the mundane "filler" stuff he puts in, in a way it does help the set "rise and fall" but he cud hav used better fillers
