Tiesto in Concert 2 DVD - first impressions

Got it at HMV 333 Yonge st. The only store that seems to have it all together. Was pretty cheap, only $25 I think...(I was in a rush didn't even really look). The cover is sweet but once opened it looks a bit cheap. The booklet isn't at all as nice as the one from TIC DVD 1 and only 1 CD... So first impression was rather disappointing...

Just popped it into the DVD...watching the opening...production wise it looks better than TIC 1 DVD....great editing...gives you much more of a "I am actually there" feeling. So far so good.....

39 songs...tracklist doesn't look ALL THAT impressive really...and for some reason they called Mason (the violin player) DJ Mason...go figure....I'll give better review later...

I guess for $25 it's definitely worth it.

Alright it's actually pretty decent.....wicked camera/editing work although I think it's a bit too much at times....they cut some tracks and jump to others (much like in TIC 1 DVD....for some reason they didn't show the magic act (with him in the box)...weird...either way looks good first impressions were incorrect...

Now i'm bouncing up and down in my living room *cue next noise complaint*

It's MUCH more edited...there are TONS of diferent angles and crowd shots....actually it's pretty good seems like they used A LOT more cameras this time.....overall really cool editing work - lots of hands in the air type shots

HAHAHAHAHA oh god YES!! no doubt about it...he's not anywhere near.
I notice a common trend for this one compared to last year's dvd...they removed pretty much all of the "dead areas"...it's pure continuous music non stop....last DVD they stopped many times for performances and etc...doesn't look like this is happening now - it's pretty much straight through with no interruptions....and OH MY GOD THANK GOODNESS that moron interviwer isn't on this lol

Off to watch the all star game....Ronaldinho's team won 6-3 hehe...can't wait to watch!!

you can d/l the video stream from the 2nd night using any bittorrent programs... alot cheeper and its the full night... it even has the last hour of requests which im told was missing on the dvd...

To be perfectly honest in terms of video and etc I actually prefer this one over last years....very cool editing, more cameras and etc. BUT...in last year's they had so many special features like camera angles and matrix shots and etc...this one doesn't have any "special effects"...but other than that the DVD is definitely NOT disappointing

The cuts and edits I've seen of it seem to me that there are too MANY camera angles for natural viewing. How is the overdubbing this time? Do you hear more crowd sounds? I know the quality is better than last years (hard to believe) so I look forward to that.

I really enjoyed the special feature disk from last year though. Pity this year there isn't one included. Still can't wait for it
