Tiesto in Concert 2 DVD

I have to admit I'm a pretty big fan of Tiesto's and was very eager to get my hands on this dvd. As a fan of last years dvd I was really expecting this years to be much better. Well I guess you can say I have mixed feelings about this years, it has it's ups and downs. The track selection is very much to my liking so you can say I was content with it. The sound is actually the biggest improvement to me, it never fades in and out like last years and for the most part stays clear & loud through out the show. Probably the biggest dissapointment would have to be the extra content since it's pretty much non-existent. Unlike last years, TIC2 does not come with an extra contect 2nd dvd which is very dissapointing. I know that europe got the two disc set I'm just not sure if the U.S. did. What I do know is that the dvd I bought is a single dvd. My major complaint about this years dvd is the constant switching of camera angles. It gets very frustrating and annoying very quick since it never lets you actually take a good look and anything. The lighting, the fireworks, the crowd, or Tiesto. It does slow down alittle here and there, but for the most part it's just constantly going from one camera to another. Another letdown is the fact that they didn't include the special request hour which was the highlight of the night to most, but ohh well.

tracklist - 8/10
sound - 9/10
extra features - 0/10
overall 7/10

Didn't like it, Tiesto hasn't made anything classic in a long long time, Just Be was the only thing he's produced that's been close to good and the DVD gave me a headache.

i know what you mean about the camera angles but after a while i get used to it.

its a perfect dvd for getting you in the mood for before a night out.

"do what you want, and blame it on the dj"!!!!!!!

I would rather shit on the floor and watch it rather than waste my time & my money on this DVD.

Mine's coming today or tomorrow. I've heard a lot of complaints about the cameras jumping around but I'm still ognna give it a spin.

First trance DVD I bought, and I liked it. The atmosphere looks amazing, but the cameras do jump around but you get used to it.

Why are TA elitists so hard to please? What DVD should I get then, that is 'good'?

DVD of the 1st concert is better actually - no headache at least.
Maybe you should get pvd's Global too, it's quite good.

Oops, forgot to comment on the dvd

I bought the original european release at the beginning of last december, and to be honest, its quite mediocre imo. I loved the 2003 dvd, but I really don't like the constant camera angle changes in the 2004 edition. I was in attendance on the saturday night edition of TIC 2004, one of the best parties I've ever been to, but the dvd just didn't capture the real atmosphere of the night for me

The track selection is quite nice, and the extra features too...basically my only gripe is the camera changing too much

I'd give it 7/10, as opposed to 9/10 for the 2003 edition.

The concert rocked though, especially the last hour, I don't think any dvd could do it justice after being there in person imo

What an ignorant thing to say, so because someone doesn't like it they become an elitest?

Got the DVD today. Haven't watched all of it, but did they mislabel "Find" on the tracklisting on the inside cover? Sounds like a sped up version of the original mix.

Thomas Datt - 2V2 (Robert Nickson Remix)

A lot of tunes are increased in pitch. That doesn't necessarily make them a different version.

Right, which is why I asked if it's just a sped up version of the original mix.
