They've Now Gone To far with this airline ****!

OK what the fuck... Their now banning Lighters and Matches on airplanes.

Some bright senator mentioned "Theres no smoking on the airplanes so why should they have them.."

Well dumbass, if I have a four hour layover or my plane is delayed i'm going to want a motherfucking cigarette.

Along with this the gift shops would be prohibited from selling cigarettes or matches as well. So there would be no way to light a cig apart from rubbing two sticks together.

I hope they Flag this post because it mentions airlines/airplanes, and realize what the fuck their doing.

Take away a smokers light and your bound to have a lot of edgy people in the airport.

I think they've gone a bit to far with this bullshit.
I dont care about damn near stripping to get through security but fuck don't keep me from my one form of sanity for fuck sake.

Well, you are talking about America. I mean c'mon. Would you expect any less that this. It seems like the rules in America are getting worse and worse, and in the end, the freedom we are protecting will no longer be there. I would take a shit on American government any day.

i was allowed to bring lighter on board, but i couldnt have it in the baggage makes no sense to me.

its annoying but it makes sense, i mean didn't that one dude try to light his shoe on fire to blow up the plane?

although if someone really wanted to smuggle matches onto a flight i doubt it'd be possible to stop them, so I don't feel any safer

i guess my feeling on this is kinda mixed

he did try to light his shoe, but wasn't that because he had explosives planted in them? you can't take down a plane with just a lighter or matches. i mean come on, do they think someones gonna be like you better do what i say or i'll light my match. or i'll burn you with my lighter? i mean even if they did try and burn a seat, don't they have some way of distinguishing a fire?

the flight to china is gonna suck arse then.

Yep, plenty of times. In fact, one of my flights coming back from Copenhagen coming into the US was delayed one hour because one guy put his lighter in his suitcase and he had to go outside to the baggage and pick it up to carry it on the plane. This was like two years ago though...
