Monkey Dancer 2 trance / breakz

anyone know of any good trance songs with breakz in them =]

Posted by Fire999 on Nov-08-2001 04:09:

Might wanna try these....

Arksun - Astrodancer (Starecase Remix)
Brainchild - Symmetry C (Lange Breakbeat Remix)
Doran Vs Joshua Ryan - Unreal
Prodigy - Speedway
Orbital - Belfast (Sasha Vs The Light Remix)
Freefall - Skydive (X-Static Opera Remix)
Futurasound - Call my name (Way Out West Remix)
Hybrid - Unfinished Symphony

Chillout breaks:

Lustral - Everytime (Way Out West Remix)
Chicane - Overlap (fairly good sounding beats...not breaks really, excellent chillout tune)

got some

Way Out West - Intesify Part 2
Remmstein - Ich Will (PVD Dub) - nice breakbeats in there

Posted by FinnHawk on Nov-08-2001 05:10:

Here's a few of my favourites...

Andreas Johnson - Glorious (Hybrid Mix)
Azzido Da Bass - Doom's Night (Timo Maas Remix)
Brother Brown - Under The Water (Starecase Remix)
BT - Fibonacci Sequence
Deep Cover - Beatstalker (General Midi Remix)
Hybrid - If I Survive

Hybrid and Starecase, as well as Voyager are the prolly the best producers of Breakbeat Trance, so look for songs and remixes by them. I believe Way Out West has done some breakbeat trance production work as well.

Sal

Nuskool breaks are wack, IMO.

I've been to the breaks boards, and the guys they're always raving about : Plumps, Tayo, Meat Carie, etc. are slow, strange and no fun. The whole thing about nu skool breaks is that its breaks, but different - so they can be really anything, just the weirder the better.

But, sometimes Adam Freeland and Tom Middleton get grouped in their category, and they're top notch. I love Hybrid, but they're not nu skool by anyone's book (the same goes with Icey and the other Florida breaks guys).

Hope that helps.

you must have heard of BT's the hip hop phenonmenon? that's nuskool breaks. Rennie Pilgrim, Adam Freeland, and Freq Nasty are top-notch nubreaks DJs, go look for mixes by them. get the Y3K and Y4K mix albums by Distinct'ive Records too, those're solid nubreaks.

Talking

Whoa, i was gonna start a thread about this exact same thing! I dont know if this is what kind of breaks your talking about but heres some that I like:

Cj Stone - Into the sea (greencourt remix) at around 3:40 a sick ass breakbeat comes in right before the colossal breakdown. This breakdown is so nasty! Damn this song is bangin. The beakbeat is kinda short but i think it fits perfectly. Tell me what you think. some other ones...

Funk Einz - punk (cosmic gate remix ) another bangin ass song!
The first breakdown is sick! The synths plus the breakbeat is so moving. Good stuff!

Cosmicman- Krystal Dreams Not really a bangin song bot one of my faves. Its so clean and happy. Theres a smooth breakbeat at around
1:50 Enjoy! BTW never really seen this song on the boards alot, cosmicman is badass, I love you is a cool song from him too. check it out if you havent

Vanessae mae - White bird (cosmicgate remix ) Tight ass breakbeat in the crowd destroying breakdown . This buildup is one of the best ever imho, but i like high energy bangin trance, but everyone seems to like the softer stuff here, check it out if you havent. okay thats a few that standout to me, check them out and tell me what you think, and if anyone knows some sick tracks in the same style (HIGH NRG) as the tunes here then any suggestions would be greatlt appreciated, thanks

ashtrax - digital reason

Posted by Sky on Jun-23-2002 23:07:

Aw I love break beat so much. If I think I'm dead for the night and then some decent breakbeat is dropped in the middle of an average set,
the sky turns violet and the sun rises in my head. ten revolutions really gets me, plus digital reason. and all the hybrid mixing of the new electrib 80s nostalgia and break beat is so great. Freq nasty played a wicked breaks set the last time i saw him,

I wouldn't really call Hybrid "trance breaks"...

Something like Brainchild - Symmetry C (Lange mix)...thats trance breaks...same with Rammstein - Ich Will (PvD dub).

As for Hybrid...they have small trance elements, but their music is much more than that.

infinity HIGH: hello sorry, i didnt actually mean Hybrid the music makers. i meant hybrid as in the sub category, in terms of the actual word hybrid, bearing in mind this electric new wave 80s phenomenon (?) thats seeping into clubs, mixing with other genres thus creating other mind fucking genres. I hate to categorise tho, I'm sos orry, rawrg hate ti when us humans do that pisses me off. excuse my inarticulate manner. love hybrid anyway tho

It's cool

Heheh, yeah, categorizing everything can get annoying...especially when it comes to someone like PvD or Hybrid. I try not to categorize everything, but it's hard not to sometimes, especially when someone asks what type of music I listen to...but lately I've been saying that I listen to Electronic music/electronic dance music.

Posted by Sky on Jun-23-2002 23:43:

yes, i know exactly what you mean infinity HIGH, the sub-sub-sub genres get so silly i usually end up saying the same, or more probably, "I love music" (cos i like a huuuge variety). which it makes it SOO easy for the other person . with every music genre you get in house sub categorisation i guess, which although is sad is part ofparcel, its with everything, like if people sum up your style in a word what do u get unfairly labelled as??? im proud to say that people find me tricky, tho its usually "individual" which im sure translates as weird girl in the thrift store jeans and day glo shirt

I good example of soem Nu Skool Breakz are:

Eurythmics Sweet Dreams Infinity Mix
Everything But The Girl Wrong Dj Sharaz Night Sky Mix

Its basically adding faster beats....unlike the old breaks....I'd say that 3/4 of Nu Skool is breaks w/ Trance elements and the other 1/4 is old songs brought back to life like the ones above.

Posted by capricorn15 on Jun-24-2002 02:26:

andy jay powell - love nation
mike - sunrise at palamos
shane - cest musique (armin van buuren's rising star remix)
push - strange world 2000 remake
fire and ice - neverending melody
lost tribe - under the red sea
starecase - come in
tz - fly
tz - till the last minute of my life
way out west - the gift
exposure - regenerate (not the same exposure as the new mike tune, but it is an awesome tune)

thats all i can remember
