dress code @ the empire

So hey, i'm off to see AvB at the empire today, but i'm wondering what the dress code is there. Are sneakers allowed? i'm traveling with a friend from newcastle and if I get told i cant get in i wont be too happy

Sneakers are ok

they will let in anyone who isnt wearing a tracksuit or a cap.

i used to wear cyber there and when i went without cyber i just when with normal trousers, t shirt and trainers.

I'm still undecided about whether to go. No-one I know is going and it's Chav Night at the union tonight haha. The union is shocking, but it's the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I'll get to take the piss out of scallies.

When do they stop letting people in?? The union closes at 2, so if they're still letting peeps in after then I might come down.

back in the day (gets out walking stick) it was a tenner and then 15 on "special" (needs) nights like judge jules/pvd/fergie, basically any night which was a garaunteed sellout.

go for it mate, the empire is a decent night, i used to go there in my hayday, i only wish it was open til 4 back then so you could avoid all the boro knobheads at 2!

how long did he play for, wass therer just oli faulkner o nas well?

oli was amazing as everytime...i really like the tunes he plays...sounds really underground and dark...like old diggers style
he played for 3hours and 15 mins encore....it was realy good, set was a bit different than his last week TE set.....
his gf was there as well probably coz he has the solo gig tomorrow night
if we exclude the knobheads and the pillheads....great night with some fit birds
(that fucking fat bitch who was walking around all night long knocking people around...2nd time i have seen her in there....)

Was an amazing night! I just loved it when he played 'marcos - just for a day' (or whatever its called). The encores were pretty cool too. The coolest thing though..when I checked-in to the hotel, armin was there, and when I checked out of the hotel armin was there again. probably wont happend in my life time again

yea was a really great night, been ages since i saw any big names . wasnt as packed as i expected it to be though, but i guess thats a good thing
