yeah id definitly go with a firewire I/O. you will get much lower latency than with a USB I/O. im not familiar with that brand, but i agree with Ben, M-audio makes some really nice stuff. i have the firewire 410 myself. but just find one that has the right type and number of inputs and outputs you need.

Looks like a consumer level product.

RCA jacks, outdated USB 1.1 interface, etc etc...

I'd go with the Maudio 410 also.
