Be Cool! Ableton Live

I spent yesterday with the Live demo. I love everything about this sequencer. As soon as i can save up the money its mine. This sequencer rules.

live is freaking brilliant. there's a whole generation of producers that will use live as their first program and have no idea how difficult it used to be to do the sort of thing that takes three seconds in live.

Yeah, but i'm getting sick of all this stuff costing so much. I need a sponsor or something, so I can afford all my music stuff. Anyone wanna sponsor me?

its out there for free, if you know where and how to look for it.

Well yeah, there's a free copy out there, however after 2 months a copy right appers and the progrem locks itself... that usually happens when you're getting really comfortable with it ... it's not like it happened to me ... I was just saying

Anyway
PM me and I'll guide you to it

Live is good for doing live performances. but for production i prefer multiple windows and more options the work flow in live sucks IMO...

hehehe... grasshopper.

You're right, and You're wrong. Live has lots of frequently used features that are easy to use and just 'right there' for you, which makes me cringe when using cubase having done things the "live" way for a little while. But it's also got some limiting things that have led me to decide that I will use it as much as possible but can never truly depart from Cubase. Such as multiple monitor setups (screens! not reference monitors!) and having things layed out to see everything at once and where I want it. Live prevents view of the session and arrangement view simultaneously (why?, why?, why?), and gives you this pissy little midi editor (oh, but you can resize it!!...pfft..) Also, cubase pays a lot more attention to detail in some areas of wav editing and audio manipulation that I couldn't do without just using Live.

But I agree - Live is almost all I need (but not quite- version 4 anyway... ableton?)
