Sander K @ Space review & pics

haha, i'm the first to post cuz i aint goin to sleep! been up over 24 hours, goin for 34

Anyway here's what I thought of Sander's set
HOLY FUCKIN SHIT!!!
BEST SANDER SET EVERRRRRR!

this is in reference to the main room set, particularly the last ~2hours, it was just nonstop sickness, for example:
Sander K - The Fruit (some badass remix?)
Brainbug - Nightmare
whatever tune came after was real sick, first time i heard it
Owner of a Lonely Heart
Nu Frequency - 808
and then a few real tight vocal tracks i dont know the name of

so after this mainroom mayhem ended at 7am, it was time for the terrace. i was spent from groovin nonstop in the main room so i wasn't feelin the terrace to much. but Sander was still rockin and it was still fuckin paaaacked when i left at 9am... was i the last TA? i didn't see anyone else but Dr Dave.

Anyway, great rockin out to Lord Sander with you guys: Rzo, Kelly, Rachael, Ryan, Neil, Dave.
WMC can't come quick enough, cuz i need some more of that.

p.s. - where'd you get those Sander K shirts, i want one!

- James

He probably played 2 tracks there that he did in NYC...

Ace Of Base - Cruel Summer (Mannel 4AM Remix)
The New Originals vs. Smashing Pumkins - 1799 vs. 1979

Cruel Summer he played, but I don't think I heard the other one... woulda recognized 1979 I think, unless it sounds absolutely nothing like the original

he also played the track in my sig! right after i got in

i have to agree with james(btw,i was last ta standing as usual) on this one, definitely the best sander set ive seen, he held down the main room like never before, the last two hours of that set was just ill....i love it how he always throws down those 80s disco classics remixes when you least expect it, and the remix of Nicolo Gala-swing to harmony was steller...later on sander was ripping it up on the terrace as usual, i left around 11pm and place was still pretty packed...i never thought i would say this but i actually liked his mainroom set better than his terrace set, and thats saying alot.. nice partying with ta's, rzo(thanks for the schooling!!), kelly, ryan, rach, drdave, zachdog, james, and thanks to sander for ANOTHER EPIC NITE AT SPACE!!! BRING ON THE WMC!!!!

It has the 1979 guitar riff, so if he played it Im sure you would have probably recognized it.

did NYC go nuts for Cruel Summer like Space did? Holy shit.

Yes, I agree, that was one sick ass mainroom set. That was my first time seeing the man & I was REALLY impressed. Damn he brought it, there was never a dull moment. Too bad space packs out so much for him now... I've heard that it hasn't been as packed for his prior appearances. He's just got Miami superstar status now I suppose. Anyway, I had a great time with all of you, sucks more TAs aren't into Sander.

About the shirts, they didn't come out as planned. This chick was supposed to make them nice, silk-screened & shit, but she waited till the last minute and couldn't get it done. She ended up just doing the iron-on BS. I'm getting them re-done, but better... I'll make a few extra.

I like both mixes, it just depends what kind of set youre gonna be spinning. If youre spinning a set with alot of vocals, Id drop the dub and vise versa.

And yes, NYC did go co-ray-zee when he dropped this... both yest and in Jan.

God I love having Sander as a monthly resident in NYC.

Sander has played it the last 3 times i've seen him, so you'll probably hear it sometime during his marathon set @ WMC... see you on the terrace!

EDIT: oh! i just remember, he also played a certain track that goes like "there's something bout those little pills, the thrills, until, they kill, a million brain cells"

^^^ green velvet-la la land...it was awesome, one of his last tracks in the mainroom

Big Ears

Oh Wow. Definitely couldn't speak downstairs, and I'm lost for words how to describe this one. Kinda like the last Picotto party, or the Hurricane Tisto party... Speachless. Work was not too hard today, even though Kleinenberg broke my legs again, I don't know how he does it with his house music, unbelievable energy. His last song downstairs was Lalaland, an ill breakbeat mix, and I know why he came on at 4. I apparently barged in on his private terrace party while Cedric was downstairs... Robert from VIP informed me with a stare that I wasn't invited, but I think he almost forgot he had to spin downstairs.
Basically people, if your with DA on this one and you sell out on SK, Napoleon Dynamite has one thing to say to you... "YOU IDIOTS!!!" His november party was better, the mainroom was on par, but his terrace set from November had a much cooler vibe. Maybe it was too packed this time, everyone kinda seemed confused though. I did miss out past 9am- I figured I'd be stuck there until 2pm this time- but at that point, 2 of my boys had already been booted from the club , so me and my friend Dave rode back home groovin' to some....HAHA, Electronica on Music Choice is playing Lalaland right now! ... Sasha and Digweed - Northern Exposure Expeditions. Ryan, Rizzo... send videos/pics to [email protected]. Aight, food's cold now, peace guys. Oh yea, I hate Space34.

Raul... please understand, I really just want you to experience Kleinenberg. He is so Co-Ray-Zee!!! You're obviously smart if you like Corsten, just give SK a chance. Not trying to insult you, you just have to give him a serious try. Sunday was one of the best sets I've heard at Space34... and I'm there twice a month bro. Take a fresh air break during Paul's set next month (not during Corsten, of course!) and come tell me you don't like his music. Peace Raul.

ps- rent Napoleon Dynamite, funny movie.

No insult taken. I was confused at the last post tho. The doc is cool. It's just that SK isn't my cup of tea. I MIGHT take a break, but no guarantees.

Yeah, I'm with Dave on this one.
