Anyone have connections with Sunlife Financial in T.O.??

I am currently working as a Customer Care Representative in the Group Benefits Call Center in Waterloo. I am new to the company and I have been thinking about transferring to the Toronto Center as I have been thinking about moving out of the KW area. I know when I was in training I was told that they were looking for employees. I am definately going to talk to someone at work about it on Monday, I just wanted to post this here incase any TA's knew of anyone who worked there. I have worked in a callcenter environment for a while now, as my last job I worked as a CSR and then Quality Assurance for a smaller company.

Anyway...if anyone knows of anything that would be great.

I would love to be yet another TOTA girl added!!!

I wish I could help, but the only person I know at Sunlife, you probably already know too! Tara (Charmscars) works there, I think, but she works at the one in Kitchener I believe... so no help there... but she's been there a while, so it might pay to see if she knows anyone in the TO branch...

If you've broadened your search at all (ie: outside Sunlife) I'm sure there are lots of opportunities in the big city...

its been a while and im not sure if the ppl who i know work there anymore...

just speak to your superior. im sure they can direct you to someone in regards to transfering over

anyone looking for work in IT, telco-related (csr, qa, admin, etc.), or project related (PM, tech lead, etc.) please feel free to forward your resume..

your resume will be kept in confidence.. AIS does a lot of placement within telco's so writing your resume to read well from their perspective can help a lot..
most work comes in extendible <--(sp?) contracts..

Sun Life is not big on transferring employees around their locations, especially from Waterloo to anywhere. Check the intranet (the Source?) for internal job postings but you'll have to apply to another position in T.O. Did you know Rana? He moved from Waterloo to Calgary but had to apply to the Calgary position first. I worked with Greg Wennyk @ Westmount and if he ever transferred anyone it usually had to be done via a 'trade' for an employee in another location. Problem is no one wants to move to Waterloo. PM me if you need more info. I can get you in touch with Rana as to how he transferred out.

Spoke to my Team Lead today......she said it wouldn't be a problem transferring to T.O.!!!!!! She will get back to me as soon as she gets more details.........
