Bargain Laptop buy... is this good or what..

So I am looking to purchase a laptop and came across this ACER at newegg.com .... it's an amazing deal if you ask me..

Anyone know of any better deals than this?

One other question, does Pentium M assure wireless connectivity throughout the house if you have a cable modem? Or does the laptop need Wireless LAN 802.11b as well?

do you even know what a pentium M processor is?
this laptop is a bargain... pentium M is an amazing processor most people don't know what it's capable of... even at 400fsb the performance is huge... I've seen benches of PM @ 2.4Ghz and the only thing that rivals it is AMD's athlon 64 FX (which by the way costs around a grand for the processor only)
all that while it consumes 3x less power and puts out way less heat

and oh yeah the battery life on pentium m laptops is 2x or maybe even 3x longer than any other non-M laptops...cause of centrino/speedstep

for laptops cant go wrong with pentium M, it blows everything else out of the water

Im not familiar with Acer, but from the specs, it sounds like a good deal.

6.5 lbs is a little heavy (depends on what ur using it for). not an expert on the current pricing for laptops but for 1k your going to get something decent.

Let me guess, you only run Slackware Linux and only use AMD processors, because mainstream sucks. Right?
