Mike Foyle - So Many Words (Original Mix)

Hi guys, this is a track im working on at the mo, kinda groovey house id say.. the vocals are from santiago nino & francis davila - wake me from the inside, but i will replace them with my own vocals later, just thoguht these fit in well..

anyway see what you think so far.. you like this kinda style? i think i might do more like this

I like the style. This would fit at some classy party in some big hall. Or so.

Anyways, some more instruments could well fill this up, a sax, xylophone, trumpet maybe? The bongos are a bit soft i think, give them more body and room and you create a real summer feeling, essential for this music

Nice work Mikey!

nice bass.

Vocals are nice also, but the reverb seems to have lots of high (hiss) cuts my ears. Same with some of the perc layers.

I really liked the piano, nice feel, same with the synth.

Wasn't to happy for me, nice chilly mood, which i am very in to lately.

Hope to hear more of that style

This is great Mike, I really like this one. Bass = . Like the housey chord changes.

MMMMMMMMMIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Very housy indeed. House isn't really my style, but you seem to take whatever you make, and do it well.

Like the bass at the beginning, and I like the way the kids come in. And the piano is quite nice.

Yay for the flanger bridge! Very chill. Not the style I'm using to hear from you but I like it.

Another goodn' by Mike.

damn, mike! this is again very very nice (and different)...

very chilled atmosphere...i like that...
that piano is cool...the beat is awesome!

absolutely lovely!!!

full track needed!

Great song. Other than the high hiss Massive has already mentioned, I have nothing else to whine about .

Posted by Alekos on Feb-21-2005 22:32:

Like Austin Power would say ... Grooooovy baby !

Posted by EtherealSL on Feb-21-2005 22:56:

whoa cool

i like that piano a lot... would be cool to hear the bass rhythm varied a little more

Posted by tylerc on Feb-22-2005 00:17:

sounds really nice so far. i really love that kick. cool chill house vibe goin on here. i cant decide if i like the bassline tho. the sound is great, but its just kinda a funny progression.

i definitely agree that something like a sax would make this tune super classy.

Posted by Mike_Foyle on Feb-22-2005 02:00:

ive just uploaded a much longer sample

thanks for the comments, a sax is a nice idea, ill see if i can find a decent sax player! hopefully the longer sample will be better to judge... the treble isnt as dominant as it is in the sample. so ignore that

nice and housey/groovey there mike. so not what i was expecting (until i read your whole original post..before i opened the sample).

sounds good. not something i'd really mix with but its fun and a good listen to chilling out.

sounds like it still needs a bit of mastering to bring out some elements and fine tune others, but overall good stuff, no complaints.

Nice groovy stuff, this is what I listen to on a warm, sunny, summerday...

I think some vocals or a sax or something on the top of it all would make it all even more intresting.

Keep up the good work
