-- Hi, from Australia!
Hi, from Australia!
Hey all,
Im Lucas, im from Adelaide, Australia.
Actually Im born in Munich, and Italian-Australia but lived in OZ since I was 2-3.
Anyway Im thinking of moving to Berlin.
I can't understand German and Im just wondering, what it's like? the people? girls? does it cost alot to live? and is it easy to meet people?
Thanx,
Lucas
you should read some threads... often it is enough to see the pictures

I'm afraid a few pictures or some posts on an online forum will hardly give you a sufficient image of a whole country not to mention its inhabitants' mentality. I think the best solution would be coming here for a few weeks to experience German live directly and uncensored
Moving to another country is a huge decision, especially when it means leaving home some tenthousands of kilometeres behind you as in your case. That's why I wouldn't hurry but do anything in order to be absolutely sure about your final decision, whatever it will be. Good Luck!
german girls rock!
Since this thread is relevant to my own question...I'll just add on.
My company has offered me a position in Neuss. Actually I've been given my choice of 3 cities: Neuss, Zurich, or Amsterdam. Right now I'm leaning towards Neuss solely for career growth reasons; although, all cities have great potential.
Can anyone provide any insight on this city...positive AND negative? I MUST have access to a strong music scene...House and Trance. I found Tribehouse, which is encouraging. Also, for social purposes, I'm a 27 y.o. single gal, so I would like a city that is geared towards a young, hip crowd. And it is very important that whatever city I live in has good, inexpensive transportation options for exploring Europe.
Thoughts?? Thank you!
(And no, I don't know German; although, I'll begin lessons soon.)
