College Students
im going through the motions of finding a college and all that goes along with it, but i have a few questions for the experiences ones.
1. What and why did u choose the college u now go to?
2. What major(s) are you currently studying and why?
3. What are your plans after college? Are you moving on to graduate studies or to start your career?
4. What career field are you interested or planning on entering, and why?
this all seems to gigantic to me, maybe its the teachers blowing it up making it seem like college will be freaking impossible.
Wentworth Institute Of Technology because its one of the cheapest schools in Boston
and they've got a good reputation + co-op program.
Studying computer science because...umm...I like talking on AIM. Haha.
After college, I plan on working for IBM...I already have one semester of co-op done with them...so hopefully they'll hire me when I graduate.
Plan on entering software development, programming, ect...
College isn't all what teachers make it up to be. Hell, I remember my freshman year, wow, definitely not what I was expecting. College, at least for me so far is a complete joke. Perhaps its my major, I dunno. Current GPA is a 3.59. Should be higher but I party too much and skip way too many classes.
Heres a tip...just get your ass to class. You'd be surprised how much that helps :P. I learned that real quick yet I still can't manage to get to any of my classes that are before noon

create a 'circle of life' by cutting a round disk that is round & circular out of cardboard & write down 6 possiblities on it. 3 of those possibilities are colleges. 1 is an art college, another is a technology college & the third is a business college. the other 3 possibilities are as following as follow the follower: become a bum & hitchhick the globe, sell your body to buy drugs & the last is to become a council worker. Now scull a beer. With the empty bottle, put it in the middle of the 'circle of life' & spin. As the bottle spins you scull shots of vodka (keep on chuggen for as long as the bottle spins). What ever the bottle lands on is what you become.

Depending where you go, college isn't that hard as long as you don't completely fuck off as most do in high school. It's more work outside of class, but nothing unheard of that will keep you from drinking every night if you really wanted to.
pot kills my motivation, so i only do it every now and then.
this really doesnt look as bad i had thought it out to be. just a continuation of the education. from 12th in 13th and so on. i just gotta get my grades straight, know what i want, and how to get it. im straigghttttt...

Re: College Students
1. What and why did u choose the college u now go to?
QUT had the most students from Skandinavia.
2. What major(s) are you currently studying and why?
Economics.
3. What are your plans after college? Are you moving on to graduate studies or to start your career?
Continue in banking and finance.
4. What career field are you interested or planning on entering, and why?
Continue in finance to make lots of money
Sometimes its a good idea for the first semester to only do 2 subjects instead of 4 so that you can get a good grasp of how to study and the uni culture. The first time I went I was overwhelmed and although I was smart enough I didn't succeed. You learn at uni that its not brains required its work and excellent study method that matters.
Re: College Students
1. What and why did u choose the college u now go to?
Iowa State had a better program than Valparaiso, and was a lot bigger. coming from a large high school [3500 students], going to a small university like Valparaiso felt like a step back. so i went to ISU [it was further from home too]
2. What major(s) are you currently studying and why?
Meteorology for a major and Military Science for a minor.
3. What are your plans after college? Are you moving on to graduate studies or to start your career?
If all goes as planned, i'll graduate and commission as a 2nd LT in the US Air Force. i'll be a weather officer.

Air Traffic Management because it rocks 3. I have to go home and wait for the FAA to call me to give me a job which should be sometime around the end of the year. I want to get my masters but I will wait to get hired first then the gov't will pay for it. 4. Air Traffic Control because its a lot of fun and it makes good money. |
