Songs from Jan Johnston?

Hi everyone. I've heard a lot about Jan Johnston in the context of being such a great trance vocalist, but I'm finding out that she has participated in so many different acts and songs making it confusing to know what to first listen to.

What song is her biggest hit? And/Or: Best?

Freefall - Skydive
JJ - Silent Words (Mekka Remix)
JJ - Flesh (Tiesto Rmx)
Tiesto - Close to you

Biggest hit or what you think is her best? Or both?

Libra Presents Taylor - Calling Your Name

My favorite is BT - Remember

Some great tracks there. Tilt's going home mix of Flesh is great too.

My favorites are Tomski - Love Will Come, Svenson and Gielen - Beachbreeze, BT - Remember (Sasha Mix), JJ - Silent Words (Mekka), and PVD ft. H & J - Nothing But You

Her 3 best hits, in my order of preference.

BT - Mercury & Solace (Original 12" Master Mix)
Freefall - Skydive (Original Mix)
JJ - Flesh (Tiesto Mix)

Her best vocal performances are those prior to 2002. Such as:

BT - Remember
BT - Lullaby To Gaia
BT - Mercury & Solace
Tomski - Love Will Come
Freefall - Skydive
Submerge - Take You By The Hand (Kobyashi Mix)

A request

OH wow guys, I just heard an airscape mix of Love Will Come and it was so amazing, but from some reviews this is like the worst remix there is. I'm sure the original and radio edit is amazing!!!

Permit me to ask ONE HUGE FAVOR FROM SOMEONE:

I have looked all over for this song and I can't find it anywhere. Could someone who has the song send it to me via MSN or email so I can hear what it sounds like? My name is: [email protected]

Someone, please, I HAVE to hear this song.

"Love Will Come" by Tomski, the original and radio edit. And if you can please do so, no less than 192kbps quality.

Thank you so much!!

Agreed. Her recent work sounds bland and uninspired compared to her older performances. Beachbreeze, Communicate, Raging, etc were so pathetically empty that I conceded she had become a rent-a-vocal like Suissa.

Yet she is still one of my favorite vocalists ever, because of the amazing work she has done in the past, and the unique sound she has.

Mercury & Solace is still my favorite. The full vocal is so powerful and moving for me, I can't help but be overwhelmed to this day.

BT - Sunblind is an oft-overlooked piece that really showcases her range and control. It's probably my second. Venus has a similar impressive range, but lacks some of the punch that Sunblind carries.

Flesh and Unafraid are a bit rougher, maybe because they're really her solo composition at heart, but they give her voice a sharper, moodier tone. That she can go between this and epic gushiness was always amazing to me.

Her work on Reflections was so-so to me. Home is as bad as her other post-2002 rent-outs, but there are other decent cuts, though not as good as her old Anomaly-era work with BT. Her vocals on the title track are beautiful and fun, but not deep; same with Spellbound. Like A Friend takes her talent in a jazzier direction, which I liked. Kaleidoscope is probably the best on the album, and closest to her great old work.

I could go on. Come back to the light JJ!
