yes balance is fucking phenominal!!!! one of my fav for sure. Holden is amazing and i love most all his stuff, even so he dosen't really have another set with quite the same style/emotion.

Ok, i've read these forums for...like...ever and i finally decided to start posting here. Even if everyone here argues all the time.

Well maybe not everyone, but you know...

Anywho- Balance 005 is one of my fav CDs ever. Hope you enjoy it. For me, it was one of those CDs that the first time is heard it i was like "this is crap". I don't know what i was thinking, it is totally god. I was the same way with Airdrawndagger - thought it was crap the first time i heard it. Wow i really don't know what i was thinking then either.

Balance 006 is pretty awesome too, by anthony pappa.

Still, it deserves a bump. A friend of mine who is into jazzy house heard balance 005 for a while and was totally turned. This is good music, no matter what Ory says

I am like that with a lot of music, dunno why. It usually takes me a few times to listen before I like most of my favourite stuff. But with Balance 005 I had no problems not liking it. I loved it first time, and each subsequent time I listened to it, it simply got better.

However, it took me about 4/5 listens to enjoy Jase from Outta Space, but now I love it. One of the better songs on the compilation.

I had a problem with Involver though. I just couldn't enjoy it at first. I think it is great now though... some songs just have that acquired taste to them - which is very much a part of Sasha most of the time he plays.

Back to Balance though, on Disc 1 the 3/4 minute spell which goes from Jake Fairley - Oshawa / Zeta Reticula - Tool 1 / Petter - Altogether is just fucking brilliant. Some of the best transitions of songs I have ever heard.

I like it meneedit! Especially first CD, when that OUTHOUSE by Nathan Fake comes, the mix between the fluffy mix and the original mix, it sounds like the track lasts 15 minutes

To me it could last forever!
Balance005 is the best cd ever made (especially cd1).

You're not alone...I'm listening to it right now and

omg James Holden is a fucking genious...

I started out liking CD1 more than CD2...now I love them both...and they never get old...
